Hi Ladies,

Just wondering how long it took you to get a BFP? Also, did you have AF first? If so how long did it take for AF to show after implant removal?

Thanks Flowers x

Might returned the month after removal. Got it removed Feb 2019 and had period end of March 2019. We weren't trying to conceive but the nurse told me fertility returns straight away but periods etc take time to adjust. X

Had mine taken out December and had my first monthly in January. I had two normal cycles, then missed 3.

So mine has been a little erratic due to hormones getting back to normal.

Removed end of August, no period, pregnant by end of October. The advice I was given: If my period didn't start after 3 months call GP back, fertility can return quickly (mine was in back to back for 7 years) and periods might not regulate for up to a year ❤️

Removed beginning of July, 1st period beginning of February, 2nd period end of April, no pregnancy yet

That's really interesting to hear! How old are you if you don't mind me asking? I'm 23. X

Had mine removed June 2021. Cycles were slightly odd but regulated December 2021 and currently 8 weeks pregnant. I had the implant for 9 years (obviously changed in between).

No don't mind at all - I was 27. I had no periods with nexplanon and my last pregnancy was at age 20 so I really did not know what to expect, when we TTC x

I had mine out after 9 years too, out in may, got my first period after 54 days but then a few short cycles of 22 days, back to 27 days after that. I got pregnant on cycle 6 but it ended in a chemical pregnancy. Cycle 8 was another positive and I'm 18 weeks now Smile

Removed at the beginning of Jan, had random bleeding throughout Jan and then got pregnant in February.
Unfortunately miscarried

I had mine removed 6th of September last year , conceived around 20 days later and had BFP on the 17th of October. No period in between removing the implant and falling pregnant. Didn't expect it to happen so fast but it does and can happen.

Removed early December 2020 and DD was born mid Jan 2022, so not long at all! We were quite surprised how quickly we conceived and were expecting it to take longer.

moiraandthebebe · 28/05/2022 16:47

I had it out November 2nd. BFP December 23rd.
