Hi everyone, hope it's okay to post. My OH and I have been trying for our third baby for 3 months now.
Started ovulation kits on months 2 but I find them really hard to read. They are the extremely cheap ones but it seems I don't ovulate..... we've had 2 children together but our youngest is 6. Could it be possible I've stopped ovulating?
I had really bad hormonal acne 2 years ago but has since sorted itself out. I'm 32....
anyway, I guess I'm just looking for advice tbh. This is new territory.
We conceived first time with both our previous. It's early days but just the ovulation tests that are worrying me.
Any advice would be really appreciated

Hi @cherrybonbons I didn't want to read and run. Which brand do you use? How long is your cycle and which day do you start OPK?
Some ppl ovulate early in their cycle some later. I use easy@home tests, easy to get from Amazon and then use the pre-mom app which draws you the curve of your ovulation cycle and gives exact numbers with it. LH can surge rapidly so when the line starts to be darker I do twice/3times in the day. After the surge you probably ovulate in 12-36 hours.
But if you want to be 100% sure, contact your GP and ask a day21 blood test, and from the result they can tell, if you ovulated in that cycle. However is not unusual to have one or two anovulatory cycle in a year. Happy to answer any questions if you have more

Didn't want to read and run as your in the same position as me.

Im requesting bloods this months. Been trying 6 months now, fell instantly with my first two (4 and 2.5). On CD4 now, may start temping with OPKS. I think I have a short luteal phase but no idea if I used to before.

Thank you for your replies. I'm using the easy at home tests too. My cycle seems a bit all over the place so I need to be consistent with it and I'm also doing body temp too. Just feels like a minefield. I think we will keep trying this month and if no show then get the more expensive ovulation kits and make an app with doctor just to check ovulation levels. Thanks again

When you say all over the place what do you mean? If your cycle is usually somewhere between 25 and 35 days then it's super likely you are ovulating just fine. What age are you? Any complications in last pregnancy? Overall, likely no issues and you're just someone with a sharp LH peak
