Fecking Sainsbury’s tests

So I’m due on my period today and took a pregnancy test and within about a minute got what I thought was a faint but pretty clear line. But it’s a Sainsbury’s test. And after 5 minutes of googling and looking at past threads it would appear that they are notorious for false positives. I’m going to have to take a different brand aren’t I to actually know anything?? I wasted a first response 2 days ago that was a clear negative so I thought I should wait until my period was actually due to do another one.

Grrrr it’s been a bloody rollercoaster of a day! Any positive stories of ‘ah yes my Sainsbury’s test looked like that and now I have a bouncing 5 year old on my lap’?

Well I’m only talking to myself but I’ll update anyway. Retested with a clear blue digital and got the BFP at 1-2 weeks!! Agh! Obviously early days but I’m over the moon!

Congratulations! I've heard that about sainsburys tests too but I think yours was a pretty good line. Glad it's been confirmed now anyway Smile

Yes, I think most tests are actually ok if you’re testing on period day or if you’re late. It’s early testing that can be dodgy, squinting at almost there lines….

Huge congratulations by the way @Hiphopopotamus!

I hope someone stumbles upon this in 5 years when they take a Sainsbury's's test Smile

Congratulations Flowers

Ah thanks!! It’s nice to be able to share the news as it’s far too early to start letting people know. It’s baby number 2 (I have a 2 year old daughter) so all very exciting.
