Can my pregnant test be wrong

Hi, just wanted to post a question as I would love to get your feedback, as myself and my partner are trying for a baby.

so today is my period due date, in the last week I have done three pregnancy test including today, which have all come back negative.

I have had backache the last 3 days, noticeable white discharge and my boobs are very swollen. Could this be a sign of early pregnancy?

Could my pregnant test be incorrect as the HCG levels aren’t high enough? Or could it just be signs of my period due to start?

Before a period my boobs normally feel fuller, but this time it feels different- however maybe my mind is playing tricks on me.

Love to her your thoughts and if you had any simlar experiences.

thanks

I found early pregnancy symptoms to be very similar to those of my period before it was due so it is hard to say. Are you peeing on the stick with first morning wee? Perhaps you just have to be patient and wait a few more days.

I can't say for sure but it does seem as though this is pre menstrual symptoms. Trust me I know how easy it is to notice every single change in your body when you're TTC. Yes sometimes a test can be negative if it's too early but if your period is due and you're still getting stark negs then you either ovulated later than you thought or you're bfn with AF due any time. It's really tricky to go by symptoms because every woman is different and early pregnancy symptoms are almost the same as pre menstrual. Wishing you all the luck on your journey though 😊✨

No, early or late afternoon. Always thought it doesn’t matter what time of day?

It’s tricky because those can also be symptoms that your period is about to start. It’s better to test first thing in the morning with first urine of the day. My pregnancy test was very clearly positive on my second late day.
Its stressful ttc and questioning every symptom but that stress can also impact your periods. Have you been unwell at all which can also make your periods late?

Pregnancy tests are 99% accurate from the day of your missed period so if you haven't had a BFP today then I'd say you are out this month. I did a lot of IVF and hcg levels on 14 DPO should be around 100 to have the best chance of being a viable pregnancy (some women can and do have pregnancies that start out lower on that day but it is the exception rather than norm). A first response test can detect pretty much any level of hcg so you would get a clear line today if it was a BFP and even clearblue digitals are hcg level 15-25

From the pregnancies I've had they have all come up straight away with a positive pregnancy test.

From the date your period is due it should t matter what time of day, but before that it should always be first thing, as it’s the most concentrated.
honestly, when I was trying for a baby, I had many months where I was absolutely convinced I was pregnant as I had every symptom under the sun. And I wasn’t on the vast majority of them. I think you are just paying way more attention to things than you would if you weren’t trying.

I hope you get good news, but do prepare yourself that you’ll most likely be getting your period if there’s no line at all, not even a faint squinted, at this point.
