TTC - new job

I started a new job in December, and we’re starting to think about TTC.

I’m worried I haven’t been in my job long enough. I know there’s nothing negative they can say, but I am worried that I’ll not have enough time to establish myself there, also worried about baby brain and being tired in a fast moving environment with a lot of responsibility (and frequent travel).

Thoughts?

to add - we have a 3yo DC and I am 35, so I don’t really want to wait around. I did think about waiting 6 months to a year to start trying, but I don’t want to die to my age and the age gap between children.

The only thing that would influence me would be whether I was eligible for enhanced maternity pay. Don’t miss out on the plans you want because you’re worried about what other people think.

You’ll be there well over a year (at least) before you take maternity leave. Lots of people would be looking to move on anyway at that point.
