im very new to this and am ashamed to say until recently I knew nothing about reproduction or pregnancy and could do with some help with understanding!
I was diagnosed with PCOS at 19 and at 23 I tried 2 months of clomid, both months I was scanned and ovulated fine however didn’t fall pregnant and relationship broke down (lucky escape!)
fast forward to now, I am 29 and have recently had some tests at fertility clinic, I had good egg reserve and all bloods were fine except slightly low in Vit D and the doctor prescribed some tablets to get me back to normal. Cycles sitting between 30-40 days. Husbands sperm came back great.
doctor agreed to start me on Letrazole once a Hycosy showed no issues with my tubes.
As instructed I had the Hycosy 10 days into my cycle and luckily tubes were great no issues! 2 days later I started to bleed very heavily, called clinic who told me that sometimes the test can bring on a cycle and so start Letrazole the following day. So on 29th April I started my tablets (day 2-6 of cycle). I was told if the tablets worked we’d be looking for a 24-30 day cycle
This week (Wednesday 18th) I went to have my day 21 bloods and was told they are looking for anything about 10, to my surprise bloods came back at 93 and coupled with some other symptoms I took a test on Friday 19th, a strong positive, 5 more tests have confirmed strong positives and a clear blue date has suggested 1-2 weeks. However I am confused with dating!
i am only on day 24 of my cycle and having never had Letrazole before I have no idea WHEN I ovulated or how long my cycles would be. Is it possible I ovulated earlier? How many days after implantation would you expect a positive test? Please someone explain this woman stuff to me!
