How do I know if I’ve missed ovulation?

So 2 days ago I got a static smiley face on clear blue digital opk which is peak fertility. Using opk test strips during that time I never got a line darker than control line. I did the deed 1 or 2 days before I got my static. Used the digital test this morning after 48 hours and it’s just a blank circle (low) as well as the strips showing fainter lines. I also did the deed this morning and not to be tmi but there was creamy white discharge on his *** after sex.(this was my discharge not his) I had some twinges yesterday and day before . What chances do I have at conceiving and when do u think I ovulated ? This is so confusing being a woman !

I'm not familiar with the CB digital ovulation tests or smileys. When you get the dark test line on an OPK strip, that indicates that ovulation will follow in the next 12-36 hours. So that's the most important time to be DTD. It might be better if you do it more than once before ovulation, so that sperm is there waiting for the egg to be released.

The only way for you to confirm when ovulation happened is by temping daily (basal body temperature tracking). OPKs only react to the LH surge that happens before ovulation, but can't confirm that ovulation actually occurred.

I’m new to all this, I had a miscarriage in Feb and decided this month to try the digital OPKs. From what I can gather, I think once you have reached peak static smiley on the test, you are supposed to stop testing for the month (using the digital holder at least). I think once the peak has been and stayed for the 48hrs, your next test will always be “low” fertility as it’s assuming you’ve started the next month again and looking for the baseline? I might have this all wrong, but it’s just my limited understanding of it. X

I would say it is possible to get pregnant but it is not very likely. If you had sex 2 days before your solid smiley and 2 days after, you've likely missed the 2 most fertile days (day before ovulation and day of ovulation). You should stop testing for LH after you get the solid smiley and have sex every day after it for 3 days. That way you maximise your chances. If you track your BBT, you will know when you actually ovulated. Good luck next month xx
