2WW & Drinking Alcohol

Why do I feel so guilty for drinking 1 DPO??? Been ttc for over a year, have pcos, and just had a chemical miscarriage in April. My fiance and I just saw a fertility specialist this past week and got suggested to do IUI. I had an ultrasound on Tuesday, and the technician told us we were close to ovulation and the next day I had a high peak! So we DTD and now are our 2ww. Through everything, I feel so overwhelmed and resorted to having drinks here and there, but should I feel guilty drinking during the 2ww??

No of course not.

I am also TTC and worried about the same thing. My obgyn said light drinking is fine (1-3 drinks per week).

I found some research, that indicates that heavy drinking might decrease chances of conception: https://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2021/06/210608203716.htm

I have a few glasses of wine a week and don't feel guilty anymore, but I wouldn't be heavy drinking (just for my own peace of mind).

I think you are fine, OP.

Good luck with TTC Flowers

I'm sure it's fine, but it's causing you anxiety so probably worth knocking it on the head for this reason. Take away the what ifs from your mind.

Moderate to heavy drinking has a negative impact on your chances of implantation. Light (1-2 small glasses of wine) has no proven impact. I avoid anyway but it's easy for me as I'm a minimal drinker all round.

I'm a little bit on edge about this too, I'm at a wedding this week I'll be 7dpo on the day I go, I love to have a drink now and again but just going to be very sensible with what I drink and how much. Hopefully it doesn't have too much of an impact on things 😩 otherwise I just won't drink alcohol at all.
