Spotting - could it be pregnancy?

Currently 9dpo. Normally my luteal phase is 10/11 days. So I am still 2 or 3 days away from AF.

I started spotting brown yesterday. And today I have been spotting fresh red blood. Never had this before and I don't think it is my period coming early as I believe luteal phases don't really change. It's also not continuous, and only when I wipe.

Used the pull-out method. Usually wouldn't so close to ovulation but I ovulated extra early this month (confirmed as I temp). Anxious as it's not an ideal time for me to be getting pregnant, but equally would not be crushed if I was.

Could this be my first sign of pregnancy? Anyone had this and been pregnant or not been pregnant?

I’ve had spotting for several days before a period the last 4-5 cycles. It’s always brown though. Not pregnant.

@TheGlitterati That's good to hear. Hopefully AF is on the way for me. It's the fresh red sporting that was making me nervous as I've never had that before a few days before period is due.

If I start spotting red, my period follows within half a day

@TheGlitterati That's the same with me as well, but my luteal phase has always been constant, as it should be. I believe it is only the follicular phase that can vary. And I'm still a good few days off the end of my luteal phase at the moment.

Doesn't help that I am driving myself insane now as I temp as well, and had a huge rise this morning, higher than all other temps. That's what suddenly made me think.... oh god what if I'm pregnant!?
