I'm really panicking and I can definitely see something clearer in person but couldnt pick it up so well in the photo - went out and bought some other tests which were clear negative but I'm worried that this was because I tested later in the day after drinking water. Really freaking out and don't know what to do :(

I can see it but those tests are notoriously bad the best test to get is first response early result if you get a negative on that I would assume the one in this picture rubbish

Thank you for replying. Is a first response one a type of test or a particular brand? Sorry I'm not really sure what it all means

I can see something very faint that could be the start of a positive, but really hard to tell....these tests also give a lot of evaps.

Do try with a FRER instead, and please please wait until first thing in the morning. When you're getting super faint lines anyway there's zero point in peeing on more tests in the afternoon after drinking a lot!

Are you panicking because it is unplanned?

I can see a line. Do you have a spare test to try again first thing in the morning? I'd say that's positive though. Would that be a bad thing?

Okay I'll try and not stress too much until I've taken a test tomorrow. Really wouldn't be ideal if positive:(

The tests most recommended are called First Response Early Results tests. Acronym FRER used a lot on here. They're very sensitive and have pink dye which often is more "reliable" than blue dye like in your Clearblue.

Try a FRER tomorrow morning.

Hope you're not feeling too stressed.

If it helps this is what the first response look like if I can't get any sometimes it's tricky I usually just use clear blue although a lot of people on here don't like them

Thank you everyone - will do a Boots trip tonight and try to hold off until tomorrow. It's been a very unproductive work day today with all the stressing!

Yes that’s positive.

Are you ok?

That last test does look positive yes. It must be very early on though - probably not even 4 weeks yet (so less than 2 weeks from fertilisation) which you gives you the maximum amount of time possible to consider and sort out your options.

I just feel really scared and out of my depth. I haven't told my boyfriend yet and I don't know how to. I know that it would be really good news to him but I just feel scared

@Harris90 I hope you're ok? I remember even though we were trying for a first when I finally saw 2 lines on a test it scared me to think I now had to look after a tiny person but he's nearly 1 now and he's slotted in so well although I've been very lucky he's always been very content.

I just got a positive yesterday for our second and now I'm thinking what have we done but I'm sure it will all work out 🤞🏼😂

Why is it bad news to you OP? Is this a timing problem? As in, you want a baby with your boyfriend but you wanted to do xyz first? Or a timing and money issue? Like you’ve just changed jobs or something? Those issues can often be overcome fairly easily and talking to your bf will probably put your mind at rest about how you’re going to manage this together.
Or is it the case that you’re not sure you want a baby with your bf or even you really don’t want a baby with your bf? If that’s the case pick one RL friend or family member to discuss this with before you tell your bf. Pick someone who you could trust to keep the secret for a while and to support you if you choose not to go ahead with the pregnancy.
Obviously it’s also fine to conclude that the timing issues mean you really don’t want to continue this pregnancy or that you want to continue the pregnancy even though you never planned to parent with your bf. I just think the reason you’re shocked and worried should affect who you discussed this with first.

I think I'm just shocked. We definitely would want kids in the future it's just very soon and so many of my friends always talk about how we're too young (26) etc. I'm also due to be going back to uni so I'm worried it'll make that impossible. I still haven't told my bf yet I don't know how to
