dont know where it came from but he wants a baby brother "now, ok, deal". fuck. we're trying!

AW Lissie - its their age I think, just getting aware of the concept of baby brother and sister. We have had this from dd for a while and its heartbreaking. Most of her little friends have brothers or sisters (or both !) so I guess its bound to happen. Doesn't make it easy though.

DS (6) is an only - not my choice. I was seeing a fertility doc a while ago and had to take DS and the doc asked him did he want a baby brother or sister. DS said he wanted a baby sister and two older brothers!!! Doc said he might struggle with that.

They all want it. It doesn't mean that they will be horribly scarred by not having siblings. My DH is an 'only' and was perfectly happy and is anti another one as he reckons his way was fine. I on the other hand am one of 4.

i always thought that we would have a big family (at least 4 kids) but ive already told dh that when (if) we have another baby then that will be it. i cant do this again. im the oldest of 8 and sometimes feel a bit sad that ds might not have a sibling. for xmas i bought him a train driver doll who he's called ben and he was talking to it and making it move his trains around the track. i know its just a phase but it came out ofthe blue and took me by surprise

well, this morning he told me that we need to go to tesco to get his baby brother. i told him they were sold out. god help me!

Lissie dd keeps on saying the the same thing. Also asked if we can get a baby in tescos. Was reading her a book the other night about how the body works got to the bit about babies she asked how they come out! had to do some quick thinking and said we get a special passage when we are mummys! She asked if I still had mine so we could have another baby. I said I would try. She then went and told Dh that I said we could another baby in 6 months. If only if it was that easy

oh cedar, it really shouldn't be this hard. have told dh that if we dont conceive in the next 6m he'll have to impregnate me via a turkey baster (well, it works on the soaps!)
