Help with reading ovulation tests

Hey all, just looking for some advice/opinions on my ovulation tests. I'm in the UK and using home bargains Accu News ones. CD 13 looks positive, but the line is much thinner than the control line. Anyone had this? I was doing mid stream but finding it hard to keep my pee under control to not go everywhere so CD 14 and 15 are dip tests. I used to get loads of egg white before but since I've started ttc I have had practically none 👀I have an irregular cycle after having my first child 3 years ago, luckily I only had to try for one month and was pregnant. This time this is month number 4 of trying. Thought I would be more relaxed about it this time but as the months roll by I worry a little as I'm 36. Any comments and or advice on any of this would be great. Sorry for the long post!

They are kind of all over the place, darker then lighter.....but it's also hard to tell from the pic. The second CD13 possibly looks the best.
I liked using the cheapy strips because I could line them all up and the change in test line was easier to detect:

I thought they were a little all over the place too, no clear progression and I assumed there would be. Would you ignore these considering how inconsistent they are? If I don't get pregnant this month, I will switch to something like what you are using, so much easier to follow. Thank you for your help 😊

I don't think I would ignore them, but I also don't know what your earlier OPKs look like for comparison. I would assume you're in your fertile window right now (actually you didn't say what CD today is) and DTD several times, hoping you've also been busy the last few days!!

CD 10 is the earliest I have because my shortest cycle in the last 6months has been 28 days but my last cycle was 36 🙄 Sorry, I should have said I'm currently on CD15 trying to DTD no more than 2 days apart from end of last week through this week as well. I have put up some closer pictures not sure they help. Are you currently TTC? How are things going for you?

I was TTC but am now 28 weeks pregnant. Just read this board often....I gained so much useful info here last year so if I can answer a question, I try to.

Aww congratulations! That's great news. I loved reading these boards with my first, they helped so much and chatting to people who have same thoughts as you. Appreciate you taking the time to still check them 😊

Hiya,

did you find these ovulation tests accurate?

thank you!

Regenbogen22 · 25/07/2024 11:27

@Youngmum8117 the cheapy strips? Yes, very accurate
I also measured basal body temp and charted it all to get a more accurate overview of my cycle.

I meant the home bargains ones! These are what I recently used. It said I had ovulated late and I'm 11 DPO and AF is 2 days late.... still getting bfn😞
