Faulty test?

Hi

i know I should have but….
i have tested on a out of date clear blue test- the kind where you get a cross if positive and a horizontal line if not. The second smaller window has nothing in it. Doesn’t think mean the test hasn’t worked properly?

im Testing 3 days before period due as I’m stupid lol!

I believe if there is no line in the control window then the test is faulty.

thank you. So that would mean this one is valid but just worried that there’s a break in the line and then tests after that are stark white! Why do you think that would happen x
