my period is all over the place, but the app that I track it with is saying I’m 8 days late.
my last period was just for a day.
I’ve gone through the sore boobs and nipples but that seems to have subsided, though they are massive and heavy.
I’ve not had any cramps but have totally gone off eggs and got backache.
im now full of a cold and very fatigued but I’ve put it down to the cold.
also I’ve had an usual amount of discharge and this morning I’ve been very emotional.
is it worth doing a test? Or waiting to see if my AF will come and if not by the end of the month just test then?
has anyone else’s AF just didn’t turn up and just missed a month? My sister in law told me to wait a month incase…I don’t know if I can….

Definitely worth a test just to be sure. How do you know your period is late if your periods are all over the place?

Apps aren't always accurate, especially if your periods aren't regular. Using OPKs and BBT will tell you for sure when you ovulate and therefore if your period is truly late or if you just ovulated late.

Yep, I reckon it could be worth a test. Do you know how long this cycle has been compared to your standard cycle? If you track with an app, the app probably lists your previous cycle lengths doesn’t it?

By the way, your period doesn’t just ‘skip a month’, but you can get longer or shorter cycles for a variety of reasons (PCOS, thyroid issues, or sometimes you just get a random cycle thrown at you for no reason!). Longer cycles mean that you’re ovulating late (or possibly not at all), but as @flowersandwhine says temping and using OPKS can help get a handle on what’s happening - and apps are only as good as the data you input.
