Ovulation tests

Hi!

Can someone please dumb it down for me?

Do I test on a morning, twice a day, do I need to a hold urine etc?

First time trying with these so want to make sure I'm doing it right.

-Start a few days after your period has finished (unless you have reason to believe you ovulate super early).
-One test a day when you get up in the morning.
-Either save the strips and stick them on some paper in order or photo them into one of the apps
-When you think you are nearing ovulation, add another test in the early evening, so as not to miss your LH peak .
-The peak is indicated by a positive test where the test line is as dark or even darker than the control line (there will always be a faint test line present during the month)
-As soon as you get a positive LH test, get busy for a few days! Ovulation occurs 12-36 hours after the positive test and it's best if sperm is already waiting in the fallopian tubes for that little egg!

I test - 11am, 4pm, 9pm when I think I'm close to my peak x

Hmm I don’t see the point in doing three tests a day to be absolutely certain to detect peak. It’s important to establish that you do ovulate, and to hopefully recognise a pattern to your month. For example, I got peak on day 14/15 every month which was helpful in telling me when to DTD. But, I wasn’t checking so I could time DTD, but so that I could be sure that I was actually ovulating. If you’re DTD after getting a peak, it’s too late anyway. We DTD on day 10 and 12, peak was day 15. BFP!

@DogsAndGin Thank you, can I ask how it's too late to DTD after getting a peak if egg isn't released yet?

Think I'm best tracking for a couple of month so we catch before like yourself.
