Hi everyone just looking for a bit of advice. I had a miscarriage at the start of the month and did some routine bloods afterwards. My vitamin D came back as 27. I’m planning on buying a supplement to bring it up. Should this be enough or should I contact my GP for a stronger prescription? Hoping to try again next month once period returns

You can take up to 100ug or 4000IU per day without medical advice

Sorry to hear about your miscarriage. I would have thought the doctor would have prescribed a loading dose then you could continue with a maintenance dose. I've had levels of 17 and 32 in the past and have been given loading doses. Definitely speak to the doctor about it.
