Just that!

Any over 40's who successfully got pregnant with second after a while !

Did you track by app? Temping ?
How on earth do you get a positive on an ovulation app!

So easy with the first. Maybe I'm overthinking this.

Also - DTD every other day after AF done? 🤷🏻‍♀️

A fertility expert told me the best way was to dtd every other day from 10 days before ovulation to 10 days after. That way you've got yourself covered but it's quite a commitment!

How long’s a long time? It took me six months with this current pregnancy – I’m nearly six weeks and I’ll be 41 in August.

DTD every other day about 3 times in the fertile window each month (too tired for more with a sleepless preschooler!). Used OPK sticks but couldn’t get a line, based fertile window on EWCM and randiness.

Took Q10, selenium, oil of evening primrose, folate, and omega-3. DP quit drinking 3 months before BFP.

5 months trying...feels like an age 😕

I'm 44 in August, so I'm thinking I've missed the boat.

Did you take all those vitamins and supplements seperate or in one ? Like a multi vitamin brand?

Had an HSG. Pregnant immediately, at 45 (must have had some invisible adhesions). Also ovulation sticks, doing it doggy-style and keeping my pelvis above the rest of me for about an hour. But it was probably the HSG clear-out that really did it.

Eventually bought a Clearblue ovulation thing and it worked the first month I used it. Clearly my body doesn't work inline with 'normal' ovulation calendars.

I conceived my 3rd a month before my 40th. We hadn't been actively trying but had been off the contraceptive for the last 2 years. I did keep thinking it wasn't to be and I was too old but it happened eventually.

Do you take coQ10?

My friend naturally conceived at 44. She's been trying for years, unfortunately miscarried before 12 weeks numerous time. Was just about to start ivf when she fell pregnant naturally. She's been taking progesterone for the duration of the pregnancy and is now 36 weeks. There is hope. I do know she was seeing a private consultant

We just had sex as much as possible but paid particular attention to having sex at crucial times.

We tried for over a year before deciding to call it a day....but two weeks later we found out we had actually fallen on my 40th birthday!

Sadly we lost the baby though.

I’m 38 and just got BFP in cycle 4 so was v lucky it happened quickly. I started taking pregnacare conception, vitamin D, omega 3 and ubiquinol 3 months ago so not sure if any of those helped as it says eggs take around 3 months to mature so may have done. I also reduced caffeine and alcohol fairly dramatically 3 months ago and DH reduced alcohol significantly the month we fell too. I had been tracking ovulation with OPKs but didn’t last month because I had a rough idea of when and get pain and EWCM so knew when was the best time without the OPKs. I felt a bit more relaxed about this month after the initial decision to TTC and think not using the OPKs helped with that too as we weren’t focussed on just the days following the positive OPK. We used a kind of SMEP method for the first time but I had Covid (mild) in fertile week so missed a couple of days, it was more like every other day in the week leading up to ovulation and then once or twice after. Good luck!
