BFP not getting darker

Morning

Due AF today. 2 days ago (26th) I received 2 faint positives on FRER and a "Pregnant 1-2) on Digital test.
I took a FRER this morning and it looks exactly the same as the test 2 days ago. Please give me some reassurance. Is this normal??

Top test 26th
Bottom test today (not fmu)

Thanks x

Possibly a better picture...

I hope it's not, but it could be a chemical I'm afraid :(

Sesamechick · 28/04/2022 09:35

Hope not either. What do I do now? Is it just a waiting game? Do I wait another day or 2 and take another test? 😭

ILikeCrapTelly · 28/04/2022 09:38

It looks slightly darker to me..

You say you're due AF today, but do you know when you ovulated?

hopingfor23 · 28/04/2022 09:38

Either wait it out or you could request bloods from gp. Mine were happy to do this for me. Sending hugs xxx

Sesamechick · 28/04/2022 09:47

@ILikeCrapTelly @hopingfor23

I don't know exactly when I ovulated, although according to my apps, it was 13/14. We DTD 6th, 13th and 16th.
I hope it will get darker. I'm shaking 😔
I'll give it another couple days I think and see what happens after another test.
Thank u both xx

I'm hoping it's because it wasn't my FMU and it was heavily diluted as I drank tons of water this morning.
I've just purchased 2 Answer One Step tests.
Did one now like an idiot (same story, not fmu and haven't held it in) and it's light
I'll take the other first thing tomorrow morning.
Praying x

Did you take the tests at the same time of day? It could be that your urine was more diluted on the second test, or not as long of a hold. Praying for you! xx

Sesamechick · 28/04/2022 10:51

@Janey3090
No I didn't 🙈
I'm going to stop testing until tomorrow morning with FMU. Thanks for your prayers xx

OP posts:
Janey3090 · 28/04/2022 10:59

Yeah I would definitely recommend sticking to the same time of day - same as we all do with OPK's as lots of things can affect how diluted your urine is throughout the day. If you then do a couple of FMU's say and it's not getting darker then it may suggest possible chemical pregnancy - but keeping everything crossed that's not the case!! 💛Best of luck with tomorrows FMU test xx

Sesamechick · 28/04/2022 11:03

@Janey3090
Bless you! Thank you so much.
Will definitely do that! Xxx

Maybebabyno2 · 29/04/2022 05:46

Hey OP did you test this morning? I thought the second was slightly darker tbh, especially if overdiluted with water

Sesamechick · 29/04/2022 06:22

@Maybebabyno2
Morning! Thanks for asking...
I did test with an Answer test and looks exactly like yesterday's test. Not darker at all. Quite worried now
Would a digital test be more accurate?

Tests from yesterday and this morning.
Not sure where to go from here

Well it's definitely picking up something each time. Just a waiting game. Torturous I know!

Sesamechick · 29/04/2022 07:21

@MissMaple82
True! It certainly is torturous waiting.
I guess that's all I can do now? Not sure calling GP or Maternity Unit is useful.
I just want to test every hour lol

I've just gone to make a wee and I'm bleeding a little 😭😭😭😭

OP posts:
Regenbogen22 · 29/04/2022 10:04

Sorry OP, it does look like a chemical pregnancy 😔If you have any more tests, I would honestly wait until Sunday to test again, that's depending on the bleeding. If it turns into period bleeding then save the tests for next month.
😘

Sesamechick · 29/04/2022 10:14

@Regenbogen22
💔💔💔💔💔
Thanks for your message x
I'm beyond heartbroken. Waited so long for that positive 😭

OP posts:
Janey3090 · 29/04/2022 10:15

@Sesamechick oh I'm so sorry, how stressful for you. Is the blood like period blood? xx

Regenbogen22 · 29/04/2022 10:16

I know the feeling. It's totally shit. And it doesn't matter how early it is.
😥

Sesamechick · 29/04/2022 10:20

@Janey3090 it's light red , not heavy (yet?)
A little bit of red on my pantyliner (sorry tmi)

@Regenbogen22 thanks...it really is shit. So cruel.

OP posts:
Sesamechick · 29/04/2022 10:43

Just spoke to a midwife who said I need to wait it out ...if I stop bleeding, then I should take another pregnancy test, if I begin bleeding heavily I need to make a GP appt (or if necessary go to walk in)
Guess it's just a horrible waiting game now....praying x

I wouldn't wait, i would book am appointment with private gynecologists asap! My situation was different, my BFP was getting darker day by day but a week later i started spotting bright red, every time i was going to the toilet. I called the GP and he told me there is nothing to be done and they don't even count it as a pregnancy when it is that early. I was in tears and terrified, booked an appointment for a gynecologists and went to see her straight away. She prescribed me pills (utrogestan) to help maintain the pregnancy and told me to take them throughout the first trimester even if the bleeding stops, just to be on the safe side. My little one is 2 now. She said she is against that "wait and see what happens" but told me that is normally the NHS practise. So please don't wait and good luck!
