Hey All

So last month i had a really weird period, much lighter than usual but the same length and I had serious mood swings which I never usually have at AF. I have recently lost about 9 stone so thought maybe my hormones had been a bit funny so decided to start tracking OV through tests.

I have a 35 day cycle usually so should ov around Cd21. I am on cd 15 today and I used my first stick, expecting there not to be anything or very faint and the line looks really dark! Is this a positive test? Sorry I thought I would just ask the experts 😀

It’s certainly getting there, but the test line isn’t bolder than the control line yet.

Download the PreMom app, which is designed to be used with these strips. Test once a day and make sure the lighting is similar when you take the photos. The app will monitor the intensity of the tests and tell you when you are approaching your peak.

I would test twice a day for the next few days to see if that line gets darker.

it’s not unheard of for your LH to rise then fall as a ‘failed ovulation,’ only for it to rise again a few days later and result in a successful ovulation. So just keep an eye on it over the next few days is my advice! ☺️

Here’s an example of a peak!

Ah amazing thank you! I will test once am and once pm for next few days. Honestly I was hoping my hormones had levelled out a bit and was hoping to see the return of 28 day cycles. I live in hope haha!

Well you never know, if you are close to ovulating now then a 28 day cycle may not be out of the question! Another option of course is that you may have peaked yesterday or early this morning and so this is the drop down. But there’s only one way to find out!

Final tip - with this brand, you don’t use first morning wee for your AM test. Leave it til your second wee 😆

Best of luck!

Thank you! So I just did a test with smu (yes I have been awake since 2 🙄) and I can see the line progression! Will do another test after work this evening.

It feels really early in my cycle but I'm relieved if it means my hormones are balancing out. I was 17 stone when I got pregnant with my son, after 7 years of trying! Was over 21 stone at my heaviest a year after he was born and am now just over 12 stone. I had a mc when I was at my heaviest which was a turning point for me.

Oh crikey, I don’t know whether I want to ask why you were up at 2? 😅

That’s a fantastic weight loss, well done!

I am sorry to hear about your MC. I didn’t realise until I started this journey how common they are. 💐

Did you download the PreMom app? I forgot to mention - don’t be worried if you get a really strong test line and it only marks it as ‘High’ instead of ‘Peak.’ It waits for you to upload a later, fainter test line and that way it will rename the previous one as ‘Peak.’ (As it is then sure it was your peak).

Are you able to DTD over the next couple of days? Seems like it would be a good time to do so!
