Beyond confused

So here goes, me and my partner have been trying to have our second child for around 6 months now, it had taken us 5 years to conceive our first I am actively trying and tracking ovulation, again this month assumed not pregnant my period arrived on time and was just normal, but today I thought I would take a test and it was positive my period ended 2 days ago. I am beyond confused and honestly devastated have I had a miscarriage and not known or could I actually be pregnant, the line shown up instantly

Was it a normal period for you? Could it have been an implantation bleed maybe? Clear positive there

I honestly don’t know, it just felt like a normal period

I would schedule a hcg blood test to see where your levels are at? Looks like a clear positive, but hoping for the best outcome for you!!

Do you know when you would have ovulated? It could be that you ovulated late and the bleed was implantation bleeding or it could be that sadly you’ve had a chemical. I would personally keep testing to see if the line gets stronger or contact doctor for blood tests

As pp said get booked in for a blood test. I had a 'normal' period but was actually pregnant. That pregnancy did end in MC, I'm not sure if the two things are related. But don't want to get your hopes up. Although I did have a thread on here at the time asking about it and some women had, had a period and gone on to have healthy pregnancies.

But yes blood test, it is the HCG and progesterone levels you need to look at. And get them repeated 2 days later to compare.

So from ovulation tests and the flow app I should have ovulated around the 3rd, we had sex on the 31st 1st and 2nd, then my period arrived the 14th with a 10 day luteal phase if I did infact ovulate on the 3rd, I did test after ovulation up until my period started which were all negative until yesterday, I don’t even know why I tested and if it hadn’t come up straight away I don’t think I would think twice and just assume it was a faulty test. I haven’t tested yet again today as I want to go and get a different brand to try but I will definitely keep this updated

Update- just took a clear blue and it was negative, will definitely not trust these tests again, thank you for you comments x
