PCOS symptoms and faint lines

Hi all,
Urgh so I’m having a nightmare week! I have no idea what DPO I am due to PCOS, but I had a period starting 8th March, DTD around the time ovulation was due (if it even happened)

Tested on Monday (and everyday this week facepalm) and each time have got the faintest of lines, sometimes you can hardly see it, sometimes it’s pretty clear - on both easy at home strips and first response. All done following the instructions just in case to avoid any evaps or mistakes!

I’ve been getting twinges in my tummy all week, absolutely exhausted, emotional and today have been feeling sick. But still nothing conclusive!

I know all I can do is wait and test in a few days and see how I go, but I’d just love to chat with anyone who has similar experiences, issues with PCOS or anything at all really!

My period in March was my first one since December so fully invested in this! Sad

Cheapy strips are always ridiculously faint at the beginning. I take it it’s the FRERs that have been more obvious? Maybe the next step would be a Clear Blue digital as there’s no ambiguity in the words!

I did get a clearer line with the first response! But I’m so dubious of evaps and indents after too much research, I had a look this morning and my cheap ones look like they have a line before I use them! I’ve got some more first response coming today so will do them in the morning and then decide where I am - it’s so hard when I can’t say when I ovulated so it’s difficult to say if the really faint lines would be expected!

Thanks for replying Smile

Tried a first response again today, although not with FMU as they just arrived and it’s pretty much negative - think this is me out.

Although the cheapy I did first thing still looked to have a line, nothing is strong enough to give me any confidence at all. I’m going to stop now as I’m just upsetting myself! Xxx

Morning, sorry, me again...
So I’ve done a first response this morning as I had one left and I have got the below - I think it’s the clearest I’ve had. Can I get some options please?

I literally studied the test before taking it and could see a tiny indent but nothing like this line and this line defo has a bit of colour. I’m honestly so confused!

In symptom updates I felt sick in the night and have had bag leg cramps for the last 2 days 🤷‍♀️

I see something but I feel it may be an indent. If you look at the frers recently they have a grey line before you use them. I too have pcos and it's so so hard because not knowing where you are in your cycle can mean you are constantly hoping there may be a chance of being pregnant....we don't get the luxury of a definite - 'I'm out!!!'

I've found just using the cheap easy at home strips best for my sanity as they are a lot more reliable for no indents and I have only ever seen anything on them when I have actually been pregnant.

If you are really convinced then have you asked the gp for a hcg blood test? Mine did some for me as my cycles are so all over the place and I was getting faint positives.

Sending love x

It looks promising….the line definitely has a bit of colour to it…Good luck!

JaneGnR88 · 18/04/2022 14:40

Thanks all!

@Kath2021 exactly, it’s so hard Sad

I took a easy at home this afternoon and I’ve attached it here, had to down the brightness as there was loads of glare!

I’m going to sit on my hands for a few days and rest (as I feel rotten) and will update as I go! Xxx
