Hi everyone looking for a bit of advice.

I had a natural miscarriage 9 days ago was 8+5 but baby only measured 5+5. Had scan yesterday and everything has passed and it was mentioned by the look of my ovary I was going to ovulate soon. I did an OPK yesterday and this morning both negative. But just did one a few mins ago and it’s positive.

Would love to try again straight away but my concern is I did a Tesco pregnancy test this morning and it’s still showing positive. I know deep down I should wait until it’s negative but would love to try now Sad

Anyone ever been in a similar situation?

Sorry for your loss. I'm 11 days since the bleeding from my miscarriage started. Today is the first day I would say I'm not bleeding and I'm wondering when I'm going to ovulate. When did your bleeding stop?
As for the positive ovulation test, if it's gone from negative to positive I would take that as a peak. I think from breading I did once HCG is below 35 you are able to ovulate. Good luck xx

Overandabove1 · 15/04/2022 21:34

@PeanuttyButter thanks and sorry for your loss too xx it’s horrible isn’t it! I’m the same today is my first day of no bleeding. That’s interesting about hcg being below 35 to ovulate. I’m going to do another pregnancy test tomorrow and see if the lines is getting any fainter

OP posts:
PeanuttyButter · 16/04/2022 09:03

Just noticed it says breading not reading 🤣.
Think it was in a study looking at ovulation after abortion but it said that ovulation was able to occur when HCG was as high as 35. I had my first negative urine test yesterday, my HCG blood test was 35 on Wednesday hence why I was googling. It would be fantastic to get pregnant again straight away but with previous miscarriages it's taken a cycle or two for me to actually ovulate again.

Overandabove1 · 16/04/2022 20:31

That’s great you’ve got your negative test. I did a clear blue today that said 2-3 weeks so hopefully hcg is leaving my system. I know what you mean I initially thought I’d wait a few cycle but now really want to start again

For me I needed the hope each month. The thought of sitting by and doing nothing and living fertile week and the tww with no hope was too difficult. Even if I thought it was likely to happen I had hope and because I didn't think it was going to happen there was less disappointment after.

k567 · 17/04/2022 12:15

My MC started on the 4th Feb, passed the baby on the 7th. Test a week later showed negative. Was worried I wouldn't get my period back for a few months but it came on 9th March. Conceived after that and I'm now nearly 6 weeks pregnant. Fingers crossed this time. Wishing you all the best

Overandabove1 · 19/04/2022 19:14

@PeanuttyButter I know exactly what you mean I’m the same!
@k567 sorry for your loss and congratulations on your pregnancy just goes to show it is possible for cycles to get back to normal quickly.

Did a clear blue today and it’s 1-2 now so looks like I’ll get a negative soon 🤞🏻

@Overandabove1 I'm having my bloods done today to make sure my HCG is really low. Hopefully be the last one. I'm hoping to ovulate soon (fingers crossed) I'm on cycle day 16 with ewcm but still low on the opk.

Indianna2006 · 20/04/2022 08:54

@Overandabove1 i am now going through same thing. Should be 10 weeks baby only measuring 6 and stopped growing. I am in today for my options as nothing has happened naturally in 11 days. So interesting to see how your cycles worked out.

i think I want to get going straight away. An think you can ovulate whilst having a little hcg in your system so go for it. Just keep testing hcg to make sure it goes blank before you need to test for a new pregnancy.

how long did it take any of you to fall originally?

took me 11 cycles. So hoping and praying it’s quicker. Be nice to have some other ppl ttc after a loss similar time too

Hi I had a miscarriage on Sunday and hoping to start TTC as soon as I can. We were trying for 18 months before we got pregnant, praying it's not that long again as I turn 40 in December and I'm only giving myself until the end of this year to conceive
Overandabove1 · 22/04/2022 10:58

@PeanuttyButter how did the bloods go?

Welcome @My2boysaremyworld @Indianna2006 sorry to hear your both going through the same.

I was lucky enough to fall pregnant on the first cycle last time. My miscarriage started 6th April and going by OPKs and scan I ovulated around the 16th. DTD on the 16th. Been doing pregnancy tests every couple of days and it’s being getting fainter but definitely still there. All going well I’m around 6DPO now but it’s looking like I won’t have a negative test from miscarriage during this tww which is of course going to cause a bit of anxiety regarding knowing if I’m pregnant again or not but I knew that was the risk I was taking when we tried straight away!

@Overandabove1 sorry I'm only just replying I didn't get a notification that I'd been mentioned.
Bloods showed HCG back at negative they said.
Had ewcm for the last few days and got a peak on opk yesterday so hoping it's a good egg, we've dtd enough and that my body is ready. So come tomorrow I'm back in the tww.

It's exciting that your already 7dpo, this is going to be a long tww. Please keep me posted will you xx

Overandabove1 · 24/04/2022 16:07

@PeanuttyButter that’s great all sounds positive 🤞🏻🤞🏻 Hopefully your tww goes quickly!

So Im 8DPO and driving myself mad symptom spotting! I did a boots pregnancy test this morning and it was fairly faint did one about 8 hours later and a bit darker so holding out a bit of hope for this cycle. Just impossible to know this early if it’s from the miscarriage or a new pregnancy. Know I should wait a few days but can’t help myself!

Here are the tests I’ll do another in the morning. First one was first thing this morning so I’ll compare with first urine tomorrow

@Overandabove1 oh that’s awkward isn’t it! I knew you could ovulate with HCG in your system but thought it had to be retry low. Like below 20 to ovulate properly so therefore pregnancy tests should be negative.

ive always got negatives and then ovulated like a week after getting a negative test so never had that issue.

how long did it take you to ovulate. Seems like it happened quite quickly. Not sure you could get pregnant though when your body still thinks your pregnant with HCG?! I’m not sure. Seems confusing to me. I wouldn’t think the egg would implant because your body and hormones are still clearly confused.

I’m on day 4 of bleeding. But won’t do a pregnancy test until I stop bleeding or for couple weeks as yet. An then go from there.

Overandabove1 · 24/04/2022 17:22

@Indianna2006 I had a scan 8 days post miscarriage and they said they could see from my ovaries that I was going to ovulate soon. I got a positive OPK two days later. Yeah highly unlikely I’ll get pregnant from this but hoping period doesn’t take too long to come back.
Hope the bleeding doesn’t go on too long for you

OP posts:
PeanuttyButter · 24/04/2022 20:07

@Overandabove1 that's so exciting!! Just make sure you keep doing the same type of pregnancy test and keep your fluids roughly the same. It doesn't take long for the lines to go super dark so should know within a few days. Got my fingers crossed for you x

Beautyangel1 · 25/04/2022 21:29

Hi all,

I'm after some advice. I'm tracking ovulation atm after suffering a missed miscarriage in February. According to the clear blue website I should have started tracking yesterday. I did a test this morning on the advanced clear blue ovulation test. The display showed a blank circle. Should I test again tonight or should I wait until tomorrow? Any advice would be appreciated. I have also attached a pic of the stick when I took it out of the holder.

Thanks @PeanuttyButter I work in a hospital so got my bloods done today HCG was 42.7 so I’ll get it done again in a few days and see if it goes up or down that’s if AF doesn’t appear before then! How are you doing?

@Beautyangel1 personally what I did when I was tracking before was did an OPK once a day until the flashing smiley came on then I did them twice a day

OP posts:
PeanuttyButter · 27/04/2022 07:08

@Overandabove1 when is AF due do you think? How long is your luteal phase?
Should definitely see an increase in the next few days if it's a new pregnancy, I really hope it is for you. What day are you getting bloods repeated?

I'm 4dpo and it's going so slow haha will start testing on cheapies at the weekend around 7dpo although I know I won't see anything.

Annapolis35 · 27/04/2022 14:52

Hi ladies, I hope it’s ok for me to join. I had a MMC at 9 weeks but baby stopped at 6+5 on 29 March. It has been one of the hardest months of my life and now I just want my period to arrive so I can start trying again. We did dtd a few times this month but not trying properly, just not preventing. Hoping it arrives any day now so can start a new cycle and feel my body is resetting finally.

Overandabove1 · 30/04/2022 23:24

@Annapolis35 welcome and so sorry to hear about your miscarriage it’s such a horrible thing to go through isn’t it!

@PeanuttyButter had a busy few days so as I was saying Tuesday HCG was 42.7 Thursday it was 34.5. So definitely not a new pregnancy. Had fever and pain this am so went in to be checked over bloods were all ok they did a hcg level but it wasn’t back by the time I left so I’ll check it on Tuesday when I’m back in work. So next step now is just wait for period to come and start again! Looking forward to that and happy the uncertainty is over. How are you?

OP posts:
PeanuttyButter · 01/05/2022 09:15

@Overandabove1 sorry it's not a new pregnancy at this stage, where are you in your cycle is there still hope this month? Or are you hoping for a fresh start and fresh cycle? I've been in both positions, pregnant before a period post miscarriage and also had lingering HCG. Both have their difficulties.
I'm 8dpo and BFN so far. Like I said earlier in the thread that I'd like it to be positive but not expecting it to be. Keep me posted xx
