Short luteal phase sucess

Hello

Just wanted to pop on here and provide some
Reassurance! Although rereading my title makes it sound like I got my BFP - unfortunately I haven’t yet.

BUT since coming off the pill i was having cycles of 23-25 days with a luteal phase of 8 days sometimes! I followed all the advice on here this month and I took vitamin C, vitamin B6, omega 3 and I can tell you Af has just arrived today on cycle day 28, giving me a 12 day luteal phase!!

Really shows if your just even a little bit imbalanced with your vitamins it can throw everything off! Hopefully next month will be BFP 🤞🤞

Thank you so much for this 💗

Since coming off contraception I have been having a 26 day cycle with a period of 1 or 2 days... Started taking these vitamins this month 🤞

This just pooped up in the active feed for me and thought I would add that I also had a short luteal phase. I started taking b6 after doing lots of research to make sure it was safe and 2 DC later I can say I'm pretty sure that's what did it for me! Good luck everyone trying.

Kitty901 · 14/04/2022 00:56

Hi, i also have a short cycle 23 days long with a 9/10 days LP. I started taking vit b6 50mg last cycle but had no change, i am continuing with it and this month i have added 1000mg of vitamin c as well as angus cactus up to ovulation, hoping it helps and get a BFP soon! Good luck to all of us x

Graceybaby · 14/04/2022 05:47

I totally agree, once I started high doses of vit c and b6 it was an instant improvement! Used angus castus when TTC my son and it messed my regular cycle up, if your cycles are regular I'd avoid. Always best to do as much research as possible and read both negative and positive experiences ☺️

PinkPlantCase · 14/04/2022 05:57

I have a 25 day cycle with a luteal phase of 8-10 days.

We conceived on our second cycle 😁

I had been tracking LH levels and ovulation for a few months though before we started trying so I knew how early I ovulated. We just had to make sure we DTD very soon after my period finished. I dread to think how long it would have taken if I hadn’t of tracked ovulation

You got me worried now, my cycle is regular but short, may be i should stop taking it😯 i only started it this week. How many mg of vit c and vit b6 were you taking?

We are on cycle 5 and i have been tracking ovulation but still nothing. I had a longer cycle and LP when we conceived our first although he took 6 months i am a bit worried because of the short cycle now. Glad to hear your positive story xx

My luteal phase is anywhere between 6 and 9 days. No idea why, usually closer to 6/7 days. I tried all sorts of vitamins which had no effect. However I have conceived 3 children. Ds1 took 5 months, Ds2 took 2 months and am currently pregnant with Dd1 who took 8 months to conceive. So don’t necessarily worry, mine have all somehow implant during that short luteal phase.

Graceybaby · 14/04/2022 16:07

@Kitty901 When TTC my son I was taking 1000mg of vitamin (you can get it from Tesco's) and 50mg of B6.. I didnt start taking these until cycle 4 and then cycle 5 I got my BFP.

I am currently TTC baby#2 and started taking the above again straight away and I think I may have just got my faint BFP.. cycle 1.

These are alongside normal pregnancy vitamins too and I take omega 3. xxxx

Graceybaby · 14/04/2022 16:08

*vitamin C

Nyxxie · 14/04/2022 17:44

Thanks for sharing this, it gives me hope!

I started taking B6 this cycle and about to enter TWW so will see if it has had any effect. If not will add some vitamin c next cycle as well.

Omg how exciting, congratulations!❤ I started taking them cycle 4 and entering the fertile week of cycle 5 now, hope we get our good news soon too xx i take seven seas as well, i used to take pregnacare but recently remembered that sevenseas extended my cycle length when we were ttc our 1st and stopped taking them back then, but started them deliberately now😁

@Peonies94 maybe helpful to you? Xxx

Nyxxie · 20/05/2022 22:18

Just thought I'd share I got my BFP yesterday at 11DPO. My luteal phase has only been 8 or 9 days but we have managed to conceive on the 4th cycle. Hope this gives someone hope as it's something I was really worried about!

Omg congratulations! ❤🤗 so happy for you! Did you do anything different this month?

Nyxxie · 20/05/2022 22:55

@Kitty901 Thank you! I started taking high dose vitamin C but can't really know if it affected my luteal phase or not now! Everyone says this but I did spend a lot less time thinking about TTC this cycle, and we only DTD twice - peak OPK day and the next day/ovulation day x

Kitty901 · 20/05/2022 23:10

@Nyxxie so glad for you, i know what a worry this short LP is! I have been taking 1000mg of vitamin C daily and 50mg vitamin b6 but didn't make a difference. I think we are going on to month 7 now and i am too starting to get fed up obsessing with it. When i think about it, i got pregnant with our first when i gave up worrying about ttc on month 6 so that probably does help🤣

Nyxxie · 21/05/2022 08:08

@Kitty901 It does somehow seem to help but it's so hard to purposely not think about it it, especially when it's something you want so much. I have just had a lot of other things going on so didn't have time to obsess! I hope you get your BFP soon x

allgoodthings84 · 21/05/2022 08:27

I think I’ve got a short LP too. This is my first month tracking ovulation with OPK but I’ve been tracking my cycle for around 3 years and it’s usually 26 days (sometimes 25 or 27 but usually 26). I ovulated day 17/18 so going to be a very short LP.

I have a child already and think my cycle length was similar back then but no idea if my LP was short or not or how long it took to conceive as we were just “not being careful see what happens” but only having sex a couple times a month with no ovulation tracking and I think it was 8/9 months after I came off the pill. It’s a different partner now though and 7 years later and I’m 37 so who knows what will happen this time round. This thread gives me hope though as I was worried. We are going to start trying next cycle I just wanted to see if I still ovulate and when ha ha
