I don't really know where to begin so will try put this across as best I can.
I had my baby a year ago and have recently (for about 2 weeks now) gone back on Dianette. I had used it in the past before my DD so decided to go back onto it.
Prior to the oral pill my DH and I were using condoms.
The problem is that about 4 weeks ago we had a slight 'accident' and didn't use any protection. Due to our prior decision of wanting to wait another year to have a baby, we decided that I take the morning after pill (the first time I've ever had it). Anyway, I took it and then decided to start taking dianette again to be safe - besides I felt awful taking the morning after pill (extremely guilty).
For the last week I've been spotting with this weekend being very heavy. I then did a pregnancy test from Sainsbury's this morning and cannot seem to read it properly. The 'you're pregnant' tab doesn't just have a pink dot but the whole area is completely pink!
I'm on my own and unable to get to a doctor and am at my wits end feeling so guilty about harming my baby should I be pregnant.
Please could anyone out there give me some advise.

get a clearblue digital test and test again.

could never get on with sainsbury tests.

do another test ?

I think the morning after pill is supposed to stop implantation - I don't think it would do any damage to a fetus that did manage to implant - but you would need to check that with your doctor. The spotting may be related to the Dianette.

i agree with throckenholt - that I don't think the morning after pill would do any damage to an unborn baby. these days the MAP is just like a big dose of the progestogen only pill- so less hormones than the older version. the spotting may well be due to the dianette. if you don't understand the result on the sainsbury's test, is there any helpline number you could ring about it?

Thanks for your responses. I'm going to try and get to the Boots today and get another test. Depending on the result of that, I'll make an appointment with the doctor.
I didn't think Dianette could cause the spotting as I'd never had any problems with it in the past but I suppose one's body changes quite a bit after having a baby
