Is this an Asda test??

timeFlyers · 12/04/2022 22:22

Yes! Please tell me they are known for problems?

DH has gone out to get a clear blue

OP posts:
FourHigh · 12/04/2022 22:23

Yes I can see a line too

Blossomandbee · 12/04/2022 22:25

I see it too. I've used Asda brand tests without problems but I think the cheap £1 ones they sell (freedom brand?) are known for false positives.
I hope you get the result you want

timeFlyers · 12/04/2022 22:26

this is the one. I thought it was all my head so I won't bother with an expensive brand. Now I'm left in limbo though

If I collect urine in a cup can i dip 2 different tests into it? I have an Asda one left and DH has gone to get more

OP posts:
Shitandhills · 12/04/2022 22:36

Yes you can do that. When is your period due? Presumably you're testing because it's late? In which case you'd expect a clearer line than that I think...

yawningthenightaway · 12/04/2022 22:40

I too see a v feint line. Xx

Callingallskeletons · 12/04/2022 22:43

Yes OP I can see a line too, have you tried altering the contrast on the photo in black & white?
I know that sounds slightly batsht but when I was pregnant with my first DC and unsure of a clear line someone told me to alter the settings and the photo showed it much clearer than the actual test (test caught up a few days later)

You can definitely dip two tests in collected urine but I would keep 1 test for your morning urine as any hormone will be much stronger then than a continuous diluted sample this evening

Is this positive?
timeFlyers · 12/04/2022 22:51

Thanks @Callingallskeletons

DH came home with 3 more so I'll save some for the morning

When testing is always dip in a sample and use my cheapies, then the hint of a line use my FRER which gave me a nice bfp.

imamumgetmeoutofhere · 13/04/2022 07:12

I know it's not what you want to hear having read a reply of yours on the thread but yes, I can see a line.

Moosh18 · 13/04/2022 09:24

I can see a line too, but would agree with PP if your period was late I would think it would be darker....

Charl881 · 13/04/2022 11:10

I see a line. I’ve used these before and found they were just as accurate as FRERs. Hope you get the result you want.

yawningthenightaway · 13/04/2022 13:46

Been thinking about you op, I hope you're ok. X

timeFlyers · 13/04/2022 15:30

thanks all. 3 negative tests since then. 2 last night and 1 this morning so I think it must have been wrong.

Period is late but I think I logged it wrong in my app last month. It wasn't just that it was because I was getting breast tingling which I got the previous 2 times with my pregnancies. Then looked at the app and thought I'd do a cheap test for peace of mind

If it still doesn't arrive in a couple of days I'll try again. I would have been only a couple of days out on the logging last month

@timeFlyers yes. I had a positive several times with Asda, I wasn't pregnant. I'm so sorry you had to go through this.
