5 months which I know isn't long but it feels like the whole world is pregnant and I'm turning 35 soon and it feels like time is running out.

I just want to know it can / will happen! Anyone else?

It also feels like everyone either gets pregnant in months 1-3 or it's a struggle. No middle ground.

Stats tell us that most people fall pregnant within 6-12 months so your experience is perfectly normal. Your chances each month are never more than around 1 in 5, even if you time everything perfectly. Give it a bit longer. Good luck!

I feel you!

I’m only 26 but we’ve been trying for a year and I’m just so fed up😩

We found out a couple of weeks ago that my partners brother and his girlfriend are expecting their first, she’s 33 a fell pregnant straight away… I’m so happy for them but also yesterday it just hit me and I all of a sudden felt a bit of resentment because it’s not happened like that for us, I had a little meltdown last night (I don’t know whether I was more sad because I knew af was due today😬)

But anyway, I’m feeling so sad and sorry for myself to the point where I’ve now gotten into my own head and know that any time we spend with them I’m going to be gutted, especially as she starts getting a bump… we all go on holiday together in July when she’ll be 7 months and I’ve started to dread it coming around😔

I thought ttc was meant to be an exciting time but I’m not feeling it😂😂x

Same here, I know exactly how you feel. I’ve just turned 30 and at 9 cycles of trying now for #1. It’s difficult, and I’m struggling to stay positive. It’a the unknown of it all that I find the most difficult to deal with. Will it ever happen? Will it take 3 more years? Will we need ivf? Who knows! You’re not alone anyway, and I hope it does happen soon for you.

I fell pregnant with my first on cycle 3. It took me 13 months to get pregnant with the second.
There's only a 2yr age gap so I'm not significantly older or anything. I'm late 20a.

It'll more than likely happen for you. Try not to worry.

I fell pregnant with my first after 11 months of trying (I was 31yrs old).

The month I conceived I was seriously pissed off with it all and thought 'f it' I'm not going to try this month, like I had done with all the charting previous months, and BINGO that was it.

@2022ttchope is personally get some simple blood tests done at 6 months. Day 3 bloods and progesterone bloods 7 days before your period begins. They test for so many things and it's a good place to start. Your partner should also have a sperm analysis - we tend to always believe it's us, but statistically it's as likely to be him that has an issue. Make sure you're taking Vit D and folic acid. Technically the average is 8 months, but in your mid 30s it's really important to get the ball rolling with tests. Good luck! X
