How accurate are the apps for you?

Just that really... apps that are designed to track cycles/ovulation/periods, how accurate do you find them? Particularly Flo and Ovia?

I came off the pill end of January so my body is still adjusting and cycles beginning to regulate. Based on my last few bleeds, I've tracked them in the apps and both Flo and Ovia are suggesting that my period is late.

Another app I have, PC, says my period isn't due for another few days.
The health app on my Apple Watch says my period could be due tomorrow.

We are TTC number 2 but not feeling massively hopeful at the moment that my period is late as with my first, I just KNEW. And I felt so different. Right now I feel absolutely fine.

Just not sure if I should be being cautiously optimistic that my period is actually late or if it's going to creep up on me in the next few days.

Does everybody else find the apps quite accurate?

If those apps are accurate for some it's purely due to chance. They literally just guess based on averages and have no idea when you might be ovulating or how long your luteal phase is.

Unless you have a beautiful 28 day regular cycle and take the predictions with a pinch of salt (eg they will assume you ovulate on CD14 but it could be CD17 so please carry on doing the deed in order to stay in with a chance) they're pretty worthless imo.

I found Flo accurate for me but I'd started using it 2 years before TTC so it had plenty of data to go on. My Fitbit never got the dates right however. I guess it's a trial and error for what works for you :)

Thanks @Juno231 and @SareBear87. I did think there is a lack of data to be able to accurately predict given I've only been off the pill since end of Jan! It's not long at all. I am sure AF will be here in the next few days but let's see ☺️
