Ovulation - LH tests

Hi guys

I am due to ovulate today according to my app, we decided not to track ovulation with LH tests for our first few months. So we had unprotected sex Saturday morning and yesterday too. But I couldn't help myself, done an LH test this morning and definitely negative? Could it be I have already ovulated?!? Or that I haven't yet

@itsnearlymytime Hello! It could be either. It will turn negative after your LH surge is over but also be negative before.

The apps aren’t always accurate. Mine have never got my ovulation day right in 6 months of tracking. Sometimes it’s only a day or two off but sometimes a week off.

Last cycle it said ovulation day was CD16 and I got my positive opks on CD12 so a few days out. This month it said ovulation was today CD16 but I got my positive opks today so it’s maybe 1/2 days out.

If you’re not tracking I would say just to dtd every other day around the fertile window. Maybe do a couple of extra days either side. Good luck!

@Newbiemg thank you!! Makes sense, I just hope I missed the positive OPK as my partners away now so hopefully Saturday morning and yesterday have done it 🤞🏼 problem is now I just feel nervous lol
