No AF since implant removal

I’m getting frustrated. I had my implant taken out about 3 months ago, had a ‘period’ almost straight away followed by pretty textbook cycle symptoms and then nothing. It’s been weeks and weeks and I’ve had a few days of cramping here and there, including a few days before what would (should?) have been AF, but still nothing! I have done a pregnancy test (or several!) after dtd around ovulation but all BFN.

I know I should be patient and my body is probably just readjusting since years of constant hormones have been removed, but I’m worried I might never have cycles again which will make it harder to become pregnant.

I’m 35, DP is 55, I was so heartened when my body seemed to be doing all the right things, and now I just feel a bit stressed out by it all. 😬

Have you spoken to your GP?

I had mine removed 2nd July, first bleed was 1st feb, nothing since.
GP was reluctant but did eventually send me for blood test and a scan. Might be helpful for you to get some reassurance.

Oh wow! That’s a really long time 😬 did you see your gp @dmb91? What scan do they do? I had a blood test for migraine a few weeks ago and they didn’t find anything dodgy in it, would it be worth having another one?

@Excited101 The blood test was to check LH & FSH levels.
I then had an external and internal ultrasound to check ovaries, tubes etc.
No answers from that and told to give back to GP but I'm going to change surgeries first.

I had mine out and had a bleed when expected. Then 54 days till my next bleed, then 26 days, then 41. Seems more settled now as last three months have been around 22-26 days.

Hi, I'm also 35 and had the implant out on 22nd March, I bled for 2 days after which I assume was just adjustment of hormones etc, ive just had a 2 day bleed(not ideal as on holiday!) I'm not sure if it's just a shorter period or again body just adjusting to hormones.....time will tell I guess
