Best and worst BFPs on the same day!

Hi all, so I tested positive on both a pregnancy test and a Covid lateral flow test yesterday!! Pregnancy test was first so was cautiously excited (MMC in December) but then flipping Covid came along at the end of the day to spoil the party as usual! Am I at risk? Should I expect this pregnancy not to happen? Or - and I didn’t even think of this until my DH dropped the bombshell last night - could Covid cause a false positive on a pregnancy test? I’ve had another BFP on a pregnancy test this morning but questioning it now.

I don't think covid could cause a false positive.

Congrats on the BFP, but commiserations on the 'rona!

Every time DH or I take a covid test and it's negative, we say "not pregnant!" (It's honestly funnier in real life )

@veronicagoldberg haha thanks, it’s so weird watching for that line to come up and on the one hand really wanting it and on on the other hand that feeling of total dread! My Covid positive line was absolutely resplendent aswell FFS!

Hi @Seajelly4life don’t worry too much about being at risk. My sister in law found out she was pregnant whilst she had covid, she also worried a lot as well but she’s now around 14 weeks and baby is very healthy😊x

@Chlo1995 thanks so much for replying. I’m trying to think there’s nothing I can do so I just need to wait and stay positive. Easier said than done though, especially with too much time on my hands trying to keep away from my family who are thus far Covid negative!
