Low LH peak - did I ovulate?

Hey, I was wondering if anyone had any helpful advice. My cycles aren’t the best - I usually ovulate around CD23, then have a 5-7 day Luteal phase. I’m having tests done. I got a high reading at silly o clock last night, which has then gone right down, but it’s not my usual peak level (last month was 1.5) I have all the usual O symptoms, in fact more than most months. I wonder if anyone else has experienced this, or if anyone knows if that peak would be too low to ovulate properly?

It's possible. My "peak" last month on this app gave me 0.73 as the highest reading. That being said, I very rarely get to 1.0+ so it's normal for me not to get a clear obvious positive. If you usually get strong obvious positives and you don't usually ovulate until CD23 then it might be too soon. Do you temp?

That’s interesting to know @czycoup. I will keep testing, but it’s possible I could have missed the peak or had a lower peak this month. I don’t temp because it stresses me out (so does TTC to be fair) but i might give it another go next month

I used to have several peaks each cycle (when they were 3+ months long) so temping helped identify which peak was actually ovulation. It's hard to remember in the morning at first but now it's something I do instinctively.

@Desperatelyboredhousewife just to reassure you, I had a month of using both easy@home and clear blue ovulation sticks. That same month, I had blood tests done to check if ovulation was occurring. I didn't get near a high on either test, so assumed I didn't ovulate that month. However, when doctor came back with results, she said progesterone was looking great and that my blood was giving all the signs that I had ovulated. She said to take OPKs with a pinch of salt if I choose to use them. There's a good chance that your peak reading window is so small that you've missed it by the time you go to test. So don't lose hope 🥰

@ali2021 thank you, that’s very reassuring to hear! I guess I just have to wait and see now, and try not to overthink the OPKs 🤞
