I've had a chemical confirmed by the hospital on Thursday HGC number :22. since then I had the worst pain / cramping and heavy bleeding ( no pain anymore but still spotting and this started 2 weeks ago) so I'm aware its over however im still testing positive on test albeit it very light ( always have been ) which are getting very very slightly darker.. I have a scan booked with EPU tomorrow but I want to prepare myself.. do you believe I may have something left behind / need a D & C .. I'm terrified and just want to go in prepared. please can you share your experiences with me I've attached a pic yesterday and today very very faint but if i only had 22 HCG before the big bleed why has it not gone down?! am I overthinking? I would have been 5 weeks today.. the blood when I had the big bleed did not smell nice too almost rotten does this mean I have an infection or is all of this normal ?!

Hello,

I have been having the same, I miscarried at about 6 weeks starting 10th March. I am still testing positive on my tests, I had a scan at the EPU last Tuesday and there was a little bit of tissue left which is why I am still testing positive.
They let me know I had a few options, one was to take medication, the other was a D&C and the other was waiting and seeing if my body naturally dissolved the leftover tissue.
I chose to go the natural route and started bleeding again on Monday this week and my tests are beginning to get fainter. If they are not negative by Tuesday 19th April I will then have to go back to the EPU for a D&C or medication.

I wouldn't worry, this can be so different for everyone but your experience sounds similar to mine. I am so very sorry for your loss x
