So, I got pregnant on January 12th and due to nog being ready go have a child, had a medical abortion in February. I got the IUD on 9th March and haven't really thought about it much since. Recently, I've had sore breasts, no appetite, felt sick and had pretty much the same symptoms I did in early pregnancy before which is causing a lot of panic and anxiety as I can't go through any of that again. Could it be possible it's just IUD symptoms ? What should I do ? I took a test but I haven't missed a predicted period and it came back negative so fingers crossed Im just overthinking this.

I haven't had an IUD. With the implant and the pill you had to wait a certain length of time before having unprotected sex. Did you have to do that with the IUD, and wait for the week to pass?

When is your period due? Negative test is a good sign

@irishfarmer - We did wait but I'm not sure if it was only 5 days? I think it was a week though and it's due in 8 days

@119Eeh if you’re not due on four 8 days then it’s too early for a test to be accurate so unfortunately the only thing to do is wait. It could just be that symptoms are just playing on your mind because of what you went through in Jan/ Feb. Fingers crossed the IUD has done its job for you xx

I don't know what the wait time for IUD is, it's a week for pill/ implant. But if you waited the recommended time frame should be grand.

As charl says you might be replaying the symptoms from before. Try to put it out of your mind. AF might be late cause of changes in contraceptive but hopefully not and you can rest easy!

@Charl881 Waiting is genuinely the worst part - I've been testing every day and they seem like they'll stay negative but still 6 days away from my period 😅 But hopefully it's just looking out for symptoms

@irishfarmer Hopefully but I had a feeling that there was something wrong with my IUD due to the amount I was bleeding and things and I was due to get a scan to see it but that's all gone wrong too 😂
