TTC after Cerelle/Mini Pill. Experiences?

Hi all,

I'm on the TTC wagon for my last and final bubba. I took my last pill on Wednesday last week. The side effects are mad! My boobs are angry and I'm weeing sooooo much, but I'm hoping that means I'm losing some water weight?

I was only on the pill for 5 or 6 months. I'm just looking for experiences really. I think today is 5 days off it, we bd'd last night. I'm not going to track ovulation just yet, I'm going to see what my cycle does if we don't conceive first.

Just looking for experiences really, how long did your side effects last and what were they? How long did it take people to get their BFP? I know the doctors say it can be straight away, but I also have heard people say it took them quite some time.

I'm excited to be back on this journey, but it is weird not knowing where in my cycle I am, how long it'll be till I know etc.

Bumping :)

Today I'm cramping lots. Initially it was just on the left so I wondered about potential ovulation. However now the cramps are harder and more general, it feels as though I'm going to come on. Also have a slight migraine headache when moving, which I'd usually get the day before AF.

I'm aware that this could all be nothing and just my cycle regulating. It's just so frustrating having no idea of where I am in my cycle.

Hi @GoT1904 totally missed this post! I've also just stopped cerelle, well five weeks ago now and still waiting for any type of bleed! I came off it initially in November 2020 and cycles returned to normal straight away however this time it's totally different. I had an early mc in November so went back on cerelle in fear of it happening again my ready to ttc again now however stuck in limbo. Have you started bleeding or anything yet? I had all the same symptoms as you so though period was imminent however it's still yet to show and I'm getting impatient now!

Hey, no I've not had anything at all yet. Symptoms stopped for a few days, but I'm cramping again today.

I've started taking OPK's, negative atm, but I expected that. Just so I can try get a feel for if/when I will ovulate or bleed.

Last year I came off cerelle and ovulated 5 weeks later. I'm wondering if it'll be the same again now.

I'm sorry for your loss xxx have you taken a hpt?

Yes I've done opks too and they're negative. Yeah I've done a few hpts but all negative too so totally in the dark right night. I have the most horrendous back ache and have done for a couple of weeks now. I just wish it would start to know where I am! Thank you, it was difficult but ready to start again fingers crossed things start happening for us soon! Xx

It's awful isn't it! My friend is on the same journey and she is CD40, I'm only CD10. But I'm just hoping for something to happen, even a period, so I know where I am

How many children do you have? Xxx

I have 2 children already oldest being 10 so I really want to get a move on. Oh that's great! I haven't took an opk in a couple of days but I think I'm going to take one today I had loads of egg white discharge last night so hoping it's a good sign! Do you already have children x

I was on it for years and years. I came off it at the beginning of June and got a period three weeks later. I then got them regularly every 24 days. Started TTC in august, and got pregnant beginning of November Smile

I've got a + OPK but no EWCM, so I'm wondering if my body is trying to ovulate? Idk. It is clear and watery tho, just not stretchy. So idk.

Yeah, I have 3 children :) my eldest is 12 and my youngest is 6. However my DP and I would like one child together, as my DC's are from my previous marriage.

@Finalbaby aww I'm sorry. It must be horrible. Not knowing where I was in my cycle drove me insane.

My cycle returned really fast. I am pretty sure I did ovulate, I got my peak and then negatives after. I'm 3dpo at the min.

Just frustrated and really bloated! I had the pains as if my period was coming and then nothing x

Hello,
I stopped taking cerelle 3 weeks ago. I had went on it due to anxiety but it didn’t help my mood I was only on it 3 months it had stopped my period. I haven’t had any bleed yet, cramps most days, boobs would be sore on and off. I had spotting for one day but just twice at the toilet. I don’t want to get pregnant we have been careful since coming off using condoms. But I am scared it didn’t work and I have got pregnant. I am just holding out for my period, I haven’t done a test I am scared 🙈
