Long periods after MC

I’m on my 3rd cycle since a second trimester miscarriage in Jan, so just finishing (I hope!) my second period, and both periods have been so long! Normally I have about 4 days med-heavy, then one day light then it stops. I’m on day 8 of bleeding now! Last few days have been a mix of red fresh bleeding, then light brown the rest of the day so I think it’s over, then back to fresh bleeding again the next morning! My cycles lengths are normal-ish, they’ve always been 30-34 days and so far they’ve been at the top end of that. But the actual amount of time I’m having a period is really long for me. And last cycle I had so much spotting throughout the whole cycle it was just getting ridiculous.
I know that things are unsettled for a while after a MC but this didn’t even happen when I gave birth to my son, my periods were back to normal straight away.
Is it even worth going to my gp or will she just tell me it’s normal after a MC (much like I suspect everyone here will tell me!). Just so frustrating as it makes me worry something is wrong with my body and I’m desperate to conceive again.

I'm really sorry for your loss.

My periods/cycles were very erratic after my mmc, all the way up until I conceived again 8 months later.

@pameladoov I had a MMC in Nov. I used to have regular 28 day cycles - bleeding for 6 days. Now my cycles are shorter ( 25/26 days) and been bleeding 7/8 dats with loads of spotting beforehand. This cycle I was due AF sat but testing negative on cheapies...so god knows what's going on this cycle! My GP said it was normal x

Thanks both, I feel like I want to tell my gp about it but no point if nothing can be done and it’s just one of those things
