Sainsburys Pregnancy Tests - Reliable? 2022

Hi all,
I’ve taken a Sainsburys pregnancy test and a faint blue line has appeared. There was initially a very very faint line that was barely visible however I checked again an hour later and it was more obvious. Not sure if it’s an evaporation line, I know they’re common with these tests!

I was planning to add the photo but I can’t see how… :(

If you're a new member you can't upload photos straight away.
Have you tried doing another test?

ELLM112 · 26/03/2022 16:44

I haven’t done a second one yet, I need to run out and grab another and then will most likely try again in the morning!

I’m pretty sure I can see a very faint line middle slightly left :) Is that where you see it?

Yes Smile but typical of my man who can't see it! Either that or he's in denial haha! Going to get a CB digital one tomorrow just for confirmation either way. Its only 10dpo for me today. What about you? Smile eyyy what a lovely mothers day present it would be for both of us! x

ELLM112 · 27/03/2022 09:01

I’m not sure how many days dpo as my cycle is irregular, I think around 17.
I did a CB digital test this morning and it was negative so I’m assuming mine was just an evaporation line although I thought they couldn’t be coloured!
AF is unusually late and I’ve been having headaches and feeling sick on and off for a few days so I’ll test again in a few days just in case!
Fingers crossed for your CB digital today! X

It’s a few days later, did the CB digital like I said but it was negative. Still no AF and I am on day 44 of my cycle now. Recently they have been around 35 days. Just wanted to share a picture of the test I originally mentioned to see thoughts on faint positive or evap line. As I mentioned before when I first took it within the development time I thought I could see an incredibly faint positive then it developed in to the pictures. Thoughts? Just can’t let this go as I feel odd!

Wel im not an expert clearly coz i needed an opimion on my test i did before i did the CB digital one. But yours to me looks positive and it has colour init too which i think with evaps they don't. I think you should ring doctors hun for a blood test because clearly something isnt right! x

It was accurate enough for me. I did a test August 2020 and found out I was pregnant using a Sainsbury’s test. Had my baby May 2021.

Pics look positive to me. As long as you read the result within the time given then it’s probably right and you are pregnant. You can always buy another test from somewhere else to double check

lynsey765 · 26/04/2022 14:34

were you pregnant? I think this happens so much with sainys tests if not? Just happend to me

Hi my daughter has had irregular periods since going on depo last December, she only had 1 shot and stopped as she was bleeding every day, bleeding only stopped last month and she had what she thinks was her first period. She then had another 4-5 day bleed 2 weeks later so not sure if she’s a week late or 2 weeks early. Anyway she’s been feeling under the weather, feeling sick, hungry all the time but then feels sick when eating, she says her boobs are sore and last night she had cramping and spotting, which she also had last week. Anyway she’s been doing tests for the past week and most have had a faint positive line, on first response and clear blue. She did another one today, a Sainsbury’s one and the cross appeared in the time frame, faint but I’m not having to squint to see it!! She then did a first response about 30mins later and again a faint line in the time frame. Read many mixed reviews on the Sainsbury’s ones so unsure how reliable they are. Really don’t want her to get her hopes up, she’s only 19 and lost a baby last year. Her ex boyfriend, who’s baby it is if she is pregnant asked her a few days ago if she’s pregnant because her boobs have am grown (he hadn’t seen her for 2wks prior)

Hi all,
I’m on day 33 of my cycle, normally 29 days long. Yesterday evening (day 32) took Sainsbury’s test and got a strong positive then this morning (day 33) I got a faint positive :( but the control line is also quite faint. I did wee through the night up until 3 hours before I took the test this morning. I’ve got symptoms (tired, metallic taste in mouth, nauseous, indigestion, achey boobs), none of the usual signs of AF.
I had 2 chemicals this year - 1 in Feb and 1 in April. I turned 40 in Feb and have 2 beautiful babies who are 7 and 9. My anxiety is through the roof and the hubby has forbidden me from taking any tests for the rest of the week. I’m too scared to anyway. Advice and support welcome!!
