Hello, I am 40 years old and had 3 chemical pregnancies in the last 3 cycles and now we are trying IUI. Currently on progesterone. Please share your experience!

Iui in the UK for me was an absolute waste of money.
I genuinely wish that I hadn't bothered.
If you're getting pregnant, I am not really sure what's to gain via Iui tbh.
Have you had basic fertility tests? How's your amh?

Iui was a waste of money for me too.

Ivf or nothing imo

Hello Ladies, somehow I didn't get a notification for your responses. My AHM is 20.9. So far I am just with a Gyno. Should I be going to a fertility clinic? Did IVF work out for you guys? I feel like I have no more time to waste.

Agree with pp. I did donor iui at 29. Had 3 failed rounds despite being told things looked perfect. I wish I had gone straight to ivf despite the cost and it being more difficult physically.

I'm surprised they didn't just go for IVF. We were told at 32 with unexplained infertility that IUI was pointless.

streamee · 28/03/2022 12:32

Ivf worked for me. I had one fresh transfer which worked but ended in miscarriage, and then a frozen transfer which has resulted in my second son.

We had unexplained secondary infertility and I was 34 at egg collection, and 35 at second transfer.

Honestly, IUI is a waste of time and money!
