Is this a notorious FRER indent?

9dpo (I know it’s too early to test)
Line appeared in 3 mins, could see it better in real life than on the pic.
But it’s since vanished.
Does that mean it was likely to be an indent/ evap?
Was too faint for me to see if it had colour.

This is how it looks now, so practically vanished.

I know the only answer is to waste and test again.

I’m just wondering how you can tell the difference between a vvvvfl and an indent/ evap.

I had a couple of these before I actually got pregnant. I had a theory that they might be picking up a very early start of implantation that's so early it could go either way (I have pretty much zero evidence, just a thought). Frers are super sensitive, like 7mIU/ml. I saw someone post somewhere on here who'd got a line like that and went to her GP and got a blood test that came up at like 10mIU/ml. After my first one of these I started to see it as a potential for a positive and like you say, just retesting.

I am 9dpo today which is apparently the most common day for ovulation. I only tested as I felt sick this morning and it was the kind of sickness I felt with DS. Just going to have to keep testing now. I know FRERs can be really bad for indent lines.

I tested 9dpo with a FRER. Blank. Nothing.

Tested again 12DPO and got a BFP. A faint line. But a very obvious faint line. Knew it wasn’t an evap if you see what I mean.

Wait a few days and test again x

@Indianna2006 thank you that gives me hope!

What is the problem with first responses? I tested and got a faint line and now thinking maybe it isn’t really positive if they’re faulty ?

lullabyalways · 22/03/2022 14:29

I got a faint line yesterday too - waiting for some to be delivered today to retest.

WutheringMights · 22/03/2022 14:39

The fertilised egg / blastocyst usually starts to hatch on day 5/6 dpo and it takes 2-3 days after that for implantation to complete.

Using these timescales, it is certainly possible that you could get a line at 9dpo but you need to be absolutely certain when you ovulated.

Charl881 · 22/03/2022 17:19

@Rosie399 they can sometimes show a grey evaporation line which can make you think it’s positive when it’s not. I saw yours on the other thread though and it’s definitely positive as very pink!

@WutheringMights another BFN today at 10dpo and I have PMS symptoms so I think I’m out but I’ll definitely hear that in mind for next time

@Charl881 don't rule yourself out just yet. I've had a BFN on a FRER at 10dpo before and then a faint line on 11dpo.
