Is anyone using the ovusense? I have irregular periods and have been ttc for over a year! I have just purchased the ovusense but not sure what to expect! I am wondering if there are any other users?

@Cous3003 that looks like ovulation to me! I’m no expert mind! Keep at it and hopefully it’ll advise soon on what’s going on 🤞!

Morning ladies!

How is everyone's charts looking today?

I finally feel a bit more human so hoping covid is on its way out! And my temp this morning is back to my normal so expecting the ovulation window to disappear soon. Still get flashing smiley on CB and no real movement on OPKs so the wait continues 😅 X

Hi ladies!

AF arrived last night.. so officially CD2 cycle 5 TTC#1 let's go! 🤞🏻😅🤩💖

Chart looking more normal again @Loz365
Are you feeling better too? Glad it's false peak but hopefully comes in next few days for you x

Cous3003 · 07/05/2022 07:53

Morning! Glad you're on the mend @Loz365 - I'm sure your chart will recalculate soon Smile

Hope you're feeling okay @RMS0209 - time for some r&r and then lots of DBD!

I'm still temping high, but no sign of the ovulation date yet... all very strange! X

Loz365 · 07/05/2022 08:06

@RMS0209 thanks! I feel a bit better, definitely slept better which is probably why my temp has dropped.
Yay for AF finally arriving! How are you feeling about a new cycle?

@Cous3003 thank you! Your chart definitely looks like you've already ovulated. Odd that it hasn't confirmed yet... have you had any other signs of ovulation? Or do you use OPKs?
Hopefully it'll will confirm if your temp continues to stay high! X

RMS0209 · 07/05/2022 08:53

Thanks ladies! @Cous3003 @Loz365

I am ok, had my sad day now I'm just happy AF is here so I can start looking forward to a new cycle... silly I know.

Not sure if it helps any but I have attached my chart from last cycle, as I say mines took 4/5 days to confirm ovulation? But it's my first month using it not sure about you @Cous3003 x

@RMS0209 sorry to here AF showed up but onwards!
My "AF" if that is what it is, is finally finishing up, hoping to maybe get ovusense back in tomorrow and then actually have a normal cycle and ovulation ideally... Surely it cant get any worse!

Those that are starting ovulation drugs, did you do it through NHS? Starting to feel like I'm probably should bite the bullet and get the ball rolling...

RMS0209 · 07/05/2022 12:48

@MO22 well we will just be a few days out cycle buddy's for this cycle 🙂
do you have any plans for this cycle?
what cd are you today?

not at the NHS drug stage yet but I am sure that's what's you do.. but again in Scotland so might be different rules x

Loz365 · 07/05/2022 16:22

@MO22 fingers crossed for a normal cycle this time!

Yep I'm going through the NHS. Went to my GP first, they did bloods and ultrasound that confirmed PCOS then referred me to Infertility clinic x

RMS0209 · 07/05/2022 16:24

@Loz365 did you have to be trying for a year before the referral no? sorry I just wonder, I tried to get my DR to do day 3 bloods and a progesterone test and that is him now just agreed to the progesterone test not the 3 day bloods x

Loz365 · 07/05/2022 16:46

@RMS0209 my GP actually referred me at 10 months but I'd only had 2 periods in that time and once I'd had results to confirm PCOS that allowed the GP to refer me early.
Remind me, are your periods irregular? X

RMS0209 · 07/05/2022 18:14

@Loz365
Goodness, 10 months but 2 periods... you must have been demented!
They aren't irregular but they vary between 29/38 days, I just wanted to have a check over to make sure all is ok. This month was 38 days but I didn't get a peak until CD23/34 .
Who knows will see how I am this cycle, hoping because I stopped the well woman tablets my cycle will be back to normal x

Loz365 · 07/05/2022 18:57

@RMS0209 it was torture!! I kept having to do random pregnancy tests because I had no idea when my period was due or when/if I ovulated. Thank god my GP referred us straight away!
I think if you cycle is more than 35 days long it's considered irregular so definitely push for more tests if the progesterone doesn't reveal anything x

RMS0209 · 07/05/2022 20:04

Thanks so much @Loz365 I'll book my progesterone for this cycle and I will see what they say xx

Peonies94 · 07/05/2022 21:27

@Cous3003 id chat to the support people, it looks like you’ve ovulated to me, maybe an error? I would definitely ask!

@RMS0209 sorry af has arrived! But glad your feeling a bit better!

sorru I’ve been quiet last few days!

OP posts:
Peonies94 · 07/05/2022 21:31

@Loz365 aww I’ve been there with the constant tests not knowing where you are! So hard! Mine aren’t quite that long, just over 100 days was my longest!

OP posts:
RMS0209 · 07/05/2022 22:13

You all ok @Peonies94

MO22 · 08/05/2022 07:34

@Loz365 thanks, I've got a call with the GP in two weeks so I think I might just beg for anything and everything, also just debating going private for drugs that make me ovulate. Will see what NHS says first.

I'm cautiously hopefully that these two periods in four weeks was just a covid thing, but I have no idea what is going on and just hope ovusense sorts me out in terms of knowledge!

Did you just DTD every few days if you didn't know when fertile week was etc?

Moosh18 · 08/05/2022 07:42

@MO22 I had a 22 day cycle after I had Covid! I've never had a cycle less then 35 days! X

Loz365 · 08/05/2022 08:05

@MO22 yea definitely just ask and see what they're willing to do for you. How long have you been trying?

Yea, I was more relaxed last year with the whole TTC journey last year 🤣 we would just DTD every few days and I wasn't tracking anything. To be honest because my cycles are still irregular we are just DTD every other day until I get peak OPK then try to day of peak and day after.

@Peonies94 @Moosh18 how are you both? Any updates?

Peonies94 · 08/05/2022 08:13

@RMS0209 @Loz365 just using ovusense at the moment and waiting to ovulate! Just hoping it’s a shortish cycle! How are you both?

OP posts:
Cous3003 · 08/05/2022 08:54

Morning all, hope everyone is well.

@MO22 hi! I saw your query re ovulation induction. In case it helps, in my experience it's worth considering going private if you get short shrift with the nhs. I saw my OBGYN a couple of years ago to diagnose PCOS, adenomyosis and for a hysteroscopy. I went back to her at the start of this year when we started TTC (privately) and she prescribed Letrozole very quickly (from cycle 2 onwards, although I haven't taken them yet). I was surprised by how inexpensive the drugs actually were (less than £30). If you don't need other diagnostic tests and can see someone privately, it may be worth it as in my experience they are quick to prescribe. See how it goes with your GP but it's defo worth considering.

She also put me on Metformin and Infolic alpha - which seems to have made a big difference to regulate cycles. Before seeing her back in 2020, I had a year with no periods but now 29-40 day cycles.

Thanks everyone for your support with my chart... ovulation now confirmed, albeit a later date. Tbh I think the earlier date was more likely as that was when my temp started to rise, but what do I know! Will keep using up until AF and hopefully it will become more accurate over the coming months....

Happy Sunday all x

So I had a static smile today! I’m not sure if it’s anything, as often get false ones! I’m going to use cheap ones the next couple days and see what happens! Last time I had my peak I ovulated 3 days later so will see if it’s the same this time🤞! Would be great if I start having similar cycles as atleast id have a kind of idea about what’s going on!!

OP posts:
Peonies94 · 08/05/2022 09:31

My cheap OPKs couldn’t be more negative though! So confusing! Will just see what happens the next few days with them!

RMS0209 · 08/05/2022 10:08

Morning all!

@Peonies94 yay good news about static but as you say keep eye on Ovusense but hope this is good news for you 🤞🏻

Just updated my Ovusense for new cycle and it matches Premom (at the moment) CD19/CD20 for Ovu (24th/25th) May so we will see. X
