Sorry for posting again so soon. I only joined last night and have done two posts already.

I'm feeling so disheartened and just wondered if there's anyone who can tell me they have conceived naturally over the age of 40?

Thank you

Hi everybody well I’m glad some of you are over 40 I’m 50 no judgment please I have been ttc a successful pregnancy for 17 yrs yea you read that right I do have 3 beautiful daughters from a previous relationship I’ve been with my new partner for 17 yrs and married for 2 yrs we have had all fertility testing and all come back normal I have gotten pregnant 3 times and those 3 are baby angels … I know it’s possible to have a successful pregnancy at our age it dose happen … but we just never know what our eggs are like until we go for IVF And that’s not an option for us … so we plod on and off it happens it happens .

Good luck to al of you and wishing you the very best on your ttc journey

I conceived my only dc naturally at 44 & 5 months, with only one ovary & tube. I wasn't trying to conceive so it was a bit of a surprise.

Problem free pregnany, natural birth, DS is now 13 and healthy.

Eat healthily, get plenty of sleep and keep stress to a minimum. Good luck.

My friend had her second set of twins at 47. Her first set were 17!
All well.

Conceived naturally at 39, 40, 43 and 45. Healthy babies. All bodies are different and you can have fertility problems at any age. Just be as well as you can be, physically and mentally.

I always offer this on these threads: my cleaner had her beautiful daughter at 46, total surprise baby. She is 13 and the Apple of her Mum's eye.

I conceived my “surprise “ baby at 44. Trouble free pregnancy right to the end when my blood pressure went up so I had a c section. DS is now a strapping 19 year old. Good luck x

Yes, didn't think it was possible anymore (from either of us) but now #4 is on route at the age of 44! Eek

Best wishes to you though

Yes me, twice at 40. Miscarried the first but first time trying with both babies. Good luck x

Yes - first (& only Grin) baby just before my 43rd birthday ... without really 'trying' - thought the lack of periods was the menopause!

I’m confused my af. Came early 6 days earlier it started off as 2 days spotting and flowed like my regular af for 2 days I am now only getting spotting again today my af has never been this early I have tested and getting shadows on hpt nothing I can shout about ..

I even got my daughter who has 2 babies to do a test for me to see if she gets a shadow completely blank on hers so even though I’m getting shadows it’s not progressing to anything eles I’m confused .

Maybe premenopausal maybe just a one off period I don’t know .
