Ttc and Fibroids

Nearly 2 years ago when I was unwell with stomach problems I was scanned all over my abdomen and they found intramural fibroids. DH and I are now in to cycle 3 of trying. Would these kind of fibroids hinder ttc?

Hi - I don’t know what type of fibroid I had, but I had no problems ttc. I only found out I had one when it was mentioned in passing at my first scan for DC1 - literally ‘oh, there’s a fibroid, let’s take a quick pic of it’ - and then it was never mentioned again, or spotted/mentioned with DC2.

Thanks for your reply. I've read that dependant on size they can prevent implantation. Maybe I should stop reading the internet and constantly worrying about it.

Hi @MrsSmith2022 currently on cycle 6 and nothing as yet.

I'm really sorry to hear that you're not pregnant yet. It's a really difficult journey isn't it. We've been ttc since December and fell pregnant in February. I sadly miscarried at 6 weeks, which is when the fibroid was discovered. They said the fibroid may have not been the cause as it may have just been one of those things. Its hard not to worry though.
