Ovulation & period after HSG

Hi, just wondering is anything like this has happened to anyone else.. So I had my HSG on 25 Feb, all looks good so no blocked tubes. However.. Before this my cycle was 28 days. After my HSG.. I started taking clear blue digital ovulation tests from CD11. Got negatives until CD18 when it started to show the flashing smiley face. Got this flashing smiley until CD26 when I finally got a static smiley face (meaning ovulation day) but straight next day I got my period (earlier than expected an more flow than usual). I do not understand.. Is it possible to ovulate 1 day before the period? Has anyone had anything similar? BTW, I TTC for some time now.. On and off for about 1,5 years...

That is odd. I have heard that people ovulate much earlier the cycle they have the HSG though. No idea why that would be. But maybe you missed the peak by starting to test only on CD11?

I thought about that but then it doesn't make any sense why I got the flashing smiley face on CD18...

Yeah I agree. Could the "period" have been an ovulation bleed? Otherwise I suppose you'll need to just write this cycle off and try again next month, as crap as that is. But you should be more fertile for the next few months so fingers crossed for you. Maybe start doing LH tests super early this cycle just to be sure you don't miss it. Best of luck.

I've heard people can have an LH surge before their period it could be that surge that the test picked up on? Could be that you ovulated before cd11 and missed it maybe
