Hi I have 2 ds that I conceived naturally after months of not ovulating but having periods

got preg eventually and had two healthy ds

have been bf and have only had 3 or so periods havent been trying to conceive atall but havent been careful either IYKWIM

period is late by 10 days now or so (never quite on time so this is by my reckoning) I did a test when period was due it was a clear blue test

it was negative

I dont feel preg or not preg im rubbish at knowing these things

I do know in pcos your periods can play up mine havent really but maybe cos im still breastfeeding a few times a day this is just a blip as I havent had many periods anyway yet

what do you all think?

I am quite frankly too scared to retest and am putting it off as I find pregnancy neg tests really disappointing and Im scared of a positive too

Its prob just my breastfeeding affecting my periods or the Pcos....

I genuinely dont know!

Can someone give me a virtual cuddle please

Hi,

I have PCOS and I know that my periods were ultra weird when I was breastfeeding. However, that may have been the case whether I had PCOS or not.

I am sending you a big virtual hug. I am so sorry that I can't be more help!

Patsy

Sometimes I truly wish I was a man!

Hope that you start to feel on more of an even keel soon.

Hiya, so you did a test when you think your period was due and it was negative but now ten days later no period? Why don't you do another test?

BTW, I have PCOS, am breastfeeding and am 11 weeks pregnant - so it can happen!

loopybear · 06/01/2008 21:32

Hi

I have PCOS and I go through phases of my cycle been fairly regular (between 32and 37 days) and then totally haywire (19 days and 72 days) In all honesty I'd give it a couple of weeks before u test again. Big hug x

Have you done another pg test? I also have PCOS so know how frustrating it is, since I had DS over a year ago I think I've only had about four periods so god knows what it'd be like if we TTC again, I'll either be trying for years or end up being five months pg before I realise!

Big cuddles to you.

MUMOFDJandP · 07/01/2008 16:29

Hi thanks xx

no i havent as I dont have one and local shop has the £13 odd ones and i figure not worth it.... but have the doc tomorrow so was thinking I might ask her but will she give me one to do? or is that only the nurse who hands them out i dunno

I dont think im preg x 99% sure now that im not xx

Thanks for cuddle
