Hi all!

So just thought I would open a new discussion (pretty sure there are probably loads on this particular subject!) about supplements and the extra things everyone is trying to do to aid conception.

So me & my husband have been TTC for 6 months now. I was only taking the Seven Seas trying for a baby supplement until the start of this cycle.

This cycle I’ve decided to start taking vitamin E , L-arginine & drink pomegranate juice and raspberry leaf tea daily. Ive read that these things can improve your uterine lining to help make a nice cushy spot for the baby to implant on ☺️

I was just wondering whether anyone knows if I should be taking/drinking these daily as I’ve seen some contradictory info online?

What supplements are people taking & is anyone doing anything different this cycle?

Ive also started using the Ferti.lily conception cup after DTD , however, I’m still to master the art of putting it in correctly!! The other night I put it in sideways by accident which definitely won’t have helped πŸ€£πŸ€¦πŸΌβ€β™€οΈ

If anyone has any tips on how to use one of those contraptions easier, success stories or just has a funny story related to them please share, I could use a laugh haha.

Good luck to everyone for this cycle !! ✨xxx

Hi hi,
we’ve been TTC for over a year and I’ve been taking different suplements, some months I just gave up taking none, some months we were both good at taking them regularly.

At the moment he is taking Selene and Zinc (Male complex kinda supplements for fertility and overall health), Omega 3, Maca, vitamin D.

And I’m taking folic acid, Omega 3, Myo-Inositol, Selene + Zinc, vitamin D, Primrose Oil.
My gp also just put me on Clomid this cycle.

I don’t think supplements really helped us, because we’ve been taking them even before we weren’t trying for a baby and it hasn’t made it any easier for us 😬 But some people say it helped them, so it doesn’t hurt to try.

Hi everyone!

I've just started TTC #2, I conceived on cycle 6 with my first pregnancy, originally I was just taking a standard preconception vit with Folic acid etc but on my 6th cycle after starting to get a bit fed up I also started taking a high dose of vitamin C and B6 as I was having very short Luteal Phases and I had heard this helped. I also started eating a lot of kiwis and pineapple and drinking plenty of lemon infused water whether any of that made a difference and helped on that particular cycle I don't know but I have starting exactly the same way this time just in case! haha Grin

@lilrosemarie I've never heard of some of the things you've been taking! What are Selene and Myo-inositol meant to help with?

Best of luck with clomid! I've read that it helps you to ovulate more than once a month. Have you had some scans and things before you were prescribed this?

@Graceybaby ahhh well if it worked the month you started taking those then you may as well try them to stat with this time! If nothing else it might be reassuring to do so :) best of luck this cycle !!

@Mariabombia I take Zinc and Selenium for overall immunity (we started that when covid hit, or half a year in and have been taking it on and off).

And Myo-Inositol is supposed to be good for regulating TSH, FSH and insulin. My gp suggested I start with that when I last went, so I added it to my every day routine. I don’t think it will make a difference this cycle as I’ve only been taking it a couple of week.
