Best time for trying during fertile window, timings ect..

My last period was 10th-13th March, I'm CD6 today.

My periods are regular, with an average cycle length of 30 days.

When is the best time during by fertile window to be having sex? I'm sure it's just a timings thing for us! I really don't want to faf about with OPK's if I don't have to, just want to go with the flow.

My fertile window from what pre mom is indicating is anywhere between the 22nd and 27th March.

Could you just try OPKs for one cycle to get an idea? As it may surprise you! The clear blue ones are minimal faff.

If you really don’t want to use them the I would DTD every other day from CD10 - CD 20 just to be sure!

I tracked ovulation last cycle and had positive OPK's on the 23rd and 24th February, my period following was the 10th - 13th March, so two weeks after.

It's worth faffing about with opks. It's not much fuss. I wouldn't think of it as 'i have to' just that it will increase your chances of conceiving sooner. The premium strips are cheap and fairly clear. The clearblue smiley face is easiest but more expensive.

The apps are not always accurate as they give you estimates based on the 'average cycle' and none of us are average.

Having said that if you're going to have sex every second day anyway I doubt it would make much difference. We time it because my OH prefers to focus his energy rather than have sex really often.

I second pp about the ovulation sticks. I did when we were ttc and got pregnant on a combo of 3 things: positive ovulation stick, dtd 3x a day in fertile window (I know, I know) and using a moon cup to keep the fluids in place afterwards.

@goodmorningsunny 3 times a day!! Go you 🤣 I can't imagine my OHs face if I suggested that.

Last time for ours I used temperature tracking. I can't remember exactly how but looked at lots of info noted down temp each day and I worked out ovulation even though my periods are irregular. We had sex just before and just after ovulation either once a day or every second day. However it relies on you getting up at the same time. Now we have one child I find opks easier.
