I was advised by an MNer that my faint line was negative, as ladies have a low level of LH in their bodies all month long, and to disregard the faint line entirely! She said she has a faint line all month long.
BUT, I don’t have even the faintest line whatsoever for the whole cycle, then day 13 I have a faint line, day 14 a strong line, and then nothing again.
So, I think for me, the faint line absolutely indicates ovulation is coming soon, so that’s when I start to get down to business!
Remember, no one can be sure how soon after the LH surge that you’ll actually ovulate. It could be immediate, it could be 48 hours later.
It’s unlikely, but, if you had a weak OPK at 6am and were going to go to bed at midnight, ovulation could have come and gone by then. Some sources say the egg only sticks around for 12 hours waiting for sperm! So you really need the sperm to be there before the egg pops out.
I also have a 26 day cycle, so I ovulate comparatively late, and my LH surge doesn’t last very long at all. Cycle #4 TTC
