Low AMH

Hi, I had an Amh test done in December and my levels where 7.4. Had the test repeated (different lab) and my result is 13.1. Now I’m unsure which test to believe? Is it 7.4 or is it 13.1. Both tests done in pmol. Super confused.

@Robyn25ttc I've seen posts like this before with different markers. It's odd that it can change. How old are you? I've been advised for 32-35, a score of >13 is what would be class as fine. X

I’m 25. So I know it’s low but there is a huge difference between amh levels. Not just a few pmol so super confused

Is there a reason why you've had it tested @Robyn25ttc ? How long have you been TTC? Both would be considered low for your age but AMH is more about how you'll respond to IVF drugs. You could get a follicle count scan - this is seen as a better indication of your chances each month. Annoyingly I don't think you'll get a straight answer as to why they have varied so much in a short period of time. X

Were both tests done at cycle day 3?

@Robyn25ttc what was your FSH? Was it on the high side? Has your partner had a sperm test? X

Sperm test fine and no it was within range x

I ask because FSH correlates with ovarian reserve. Your LH to FSH should be as close to a 1:1 ratio as possible. I think you'll probably only get peace of mind by having another test - which I get is super annoying. Your BFP could be just around the corner. The most common reasons for unexplained infertility is:
Low Vit D
Chronic inflammation
Subclinical thyroid
Sperm DNA fragmentation (this is only available privately)

My AMH is 9.28
My AFC is 12
My FSH is 8
