I am starting a be course of pilates on mon (never done it) and we plan ttc next month. Before anyone says it, i know it could take ages to conceive but i dont want to take any risks.

This is a 6 week course and if i like it i plan on going to the class once a week aswell as swim. I know you have to be careful with the stomach muscles but does anyone have any advice? Should i avoid ttc for longer or avoid pilates?!

Should be fine - make sure you tell your instuctor though

Good luck

ooh no, don't tell your instructor until you are actually pregnant!!
How cringey to tell her you are 'trying for a baby'.
There is absolutely nothing in Pilates that could harm you at all or be a problem if you are in the early stages of pregnancy. And when you are pregnant, your instructor will modify the exercises for you.

definitely go to pilates. if nothing else it helps strength the pelvic floor which as we all know is a 'good thing'.

It's fine and you can continue to do Pilates throughout your pregnancy as long as you were doing it before you conceived.

You must tell your instructor when you are pregnant though. I agree it is unnecessary and a bit cringeworthy to tell him/ her that you are ttc....
