Frequency of intercourse to conceive

Firstly apologies if this appears somewhat crude or insensitive but how often are people having sex when trying to conceive? My own situation is that I *think I'm ovulating, getting a few days of CM and partner and I generally have intercourse each day for 3 or 4 days and herein lies the question; is it enough once a day or would it make much difference if it was twice a day?

I've been pregnant twice and my first pregnancy was the day before and day of ovulation. That was a mmc.

My second pregnancy with my dd was twice the day before and once the day of ovulation.

I'm now ttc #2 and have spent, in total, 22 months of my life ttc 😂. I've done it less more, this day, that and I honestly think it's down to luck. It really is just that one sperm 🤷‍♀️. Basically, I've had 20 unsuccessful cycles in life and 2 successful, both with different patterns of dtd.

I’ve been pregnant 3 times and never tracked ovulation, just had sex roughly every other day when I wasn’t on my period. Every time conceived first cycle.

It depends on many things actually. If there's no problem with the sperm, every day is fine. If not, every other day might be better as there will be more time to replenish.
Same as with twice a day. It's not necessary, but also not wrong if that makes sense?

Every other day is perfectly fine. Doing it more won't hurt and might be worthwhile if you know you're ovulating.

Every other day in between periods

@whoknew123 with my DD we were DTD once a week (if that). We just hit it lucky. With this pregnancy we had 3 cycles TTC, the first I got it all wrong with DTD days as things were all over the place so missed the FW really, the 2nd we DTD every day and my DH was not happy about being used for a purpose, and the third we did every other day. I'd say I am pretty sure the one that worked was the day after ovulation. There were 3 days we DTD in the FW, the first I tried a cup to keep swimmers in and failed so badly there was no way anything stuck, the 2nd we were exhausted and emotional, I think he didn't finish, so lucky #3 of cylce #3. There is a chart you can google that shows conception chances by day of ovulation during the fertile week which I found that a little helpful. If you read the Feb/March threads there is a user there called Purple who'se Dr gave her a list of days to try to TTC and it seems to have had a lot of success in general. Probably worth a look into :)

For all three pregnancies I never paid attention to when I was ovulating, we just had sex most days, might as well cover all bases, after all you can conceive any where in your cycle and also it's fun!
