How to keep hopeful when TTC

Hi,

We’ve been trying for #2 since July 2021 and we’ve had 2 miscarriages since. I’ve felt so utterly hopeless and defeated at times but I really want to keep positive and believe this will happen for us one day 🌈 What helped you keep positive on your TTC journey?

I know it sounds strange but I’ve just got it in my head that if I fill myself with positive vibes and stories it’ll somehow help. I’m so tired of feeling sad!

Xx

Sorry to hear about your miscarriages.

I’ve been struggling to stay positive too. TTC #2 since August/ September.

Some advice I’ve read is to basically keep planning lots of fun things to do, don’t put your life on hold because you think ‘I might be pregnant by then’. So I’m trying to focus on all the nice holidays etc I have coming up this year rather than thinking about whether or not I’ll be pregnant this year.

I also remind myself that I know I can get pregnant so it will hopefully happen at some point and if not there are other options available. I read someone saying that they knew that in five years time they’ll probably have a child in one way or another and that helped too.

Good luck!

Sorry for your losses at @Hello47 it can be so overwhelming.

I'm sorry to say that I couldn't really be super happy until I was pregnant!

I started ttc in June 2018 and eventually fell pregnant in February 2019. I had a mmc.

I started ttc again in May 2019 and then fell pregnant again in December 2019 and had my dd in September 2020.

I've now been ttc #2 since September (with a month break in the middle) 😬.
